What causes these small squares of cities

Post by RallyChris
When using the map editor color style, you can see small squares randomly placed where no roads are. Most of the time, if you zoom in far enough, you can see a city name (or sometimes a name of an area). If you zoom out the squares get large enough to cover the size of the city label.

I wouldn't be concerned about it, but the city name that sometimes shows up, also shows up in all the other map color styles. And they normally are in the wrong spot.

I've searched all the roads around the area, and can't find any of them using them set with a related city name (no name, other name, but not the one labeled on the square

Here is a permalink to the area in question

Hi Chris,

It is a bug, probably a polygon of cities that were existed before and now they are not.
We will remove it.

Regards,
Liz
