About favorite locations

Hi,
Is there a way to convert saved locations to favorites so that I can ensure my saved locations get stored on the cloud and are never lost?

Also, is there a way to plan my custom route on my computer and then store it to the cloud, so that my phone can directly use that route to take me to a destination as per my route?
