How soon would the live map used updated route?

I understand that Cartouche editor can be used to view directions on the live map. This should be a similar routing which the client would use on the phone.

I fixed a number of turn restrictions and fixed segment connection issues on a road. If I now check the direction in the Live Map again, would it reflect my changes right away to hopefully use a better route now? Doesn't look so at the moment :|

As is the case with processing driving routes, map updates made in Cartouche take time before they reach the livemap and clients. The former, I presume, because they want to run some "sanity checks" on their servers before going live with the changes; the latter, because clients cache their map sections, and don't download every time something changes. A client can take up to a week to get the latest updates.

I read though, on this forum itself, that the 'Get Directions' feature of Cartouche can be used to immediately test the new fixes we have done. I assume then, that live map should be getting updated immediately after our fixes then?

No. The "get directions" feature of cartouche can be used to test the new edits immediately. The "get directions" feature in the live map can NOT be used immediately after edits are made to test them. These are two different, separate "get directions" features.

The live map does not update immediately. It usually takes a few days before edits will show in the live map.
