Controls are hiding on Win7/Safari 5 recently

Post by AlanOfTheBerg
I know I am in the minority using Safari to edit in Cartouche, but I have found it quite functionally equivalent to FF and Chrome, and, as another recent thread I started points out, displays menu items more accurately than all the other browsers.

I am not sure if this is something which has recently changed with Bing aerials on the NA server, but check boxes and drop-down menus have just recently started to not display on Safari in Windows 7.

For example, this is how my segment editor, update panel and view panel look now: (can't attach: board attachment quota has been reached)
http://belloqsdomain.net/images/segment_editor.png . http://belloqsdomain.net/images/update_panel.png . http://belloqsdomain.net/images/view_panel.png

It seems like all the borders of these controls are missing or the wrong color, like a CSS file was updated recently as part of the Bing change? Because the controls are still there and work, I just can't see them. Oh, and the checkboxes checkmark is invisible too when selected.

Anyone else seeing this? It could just be me...

I haven't had a chance to check it on my Mac yet. I will in a few hours.

I received an email reply from alpha this morning after emailing them this topic. As of just a few minutes ago, Safari 5 on Windows is displaying correctly for me.

Confirmation from anyone else?

Figured something out!: Enabling the aerial layer (Bing!) causes the control outlines to hide. Turn the layer off and the controls appear again.

I can confirm this behavior does not exist in Chrome or Firefox.

I am definitely seeing this with Safari 5 on Windows 7. I don't think this happens on my Mac but I will have to check when I get home.

Are you only seeing it in Safari with Windows 7 (not with OSX? You have a mac, if I remember correctly...)?

I'll check it out this afternoon when I'm at my desktop, it's the only computer I currently have with Windows 7.
