Waze forum

Hi,

How far in advance do I have to notify Waze about road closures for a major event in my city. I submitted a request on 26/09/17 for an event on 01/10/17 but it was declined.

Unfortunately, after careful consideration, we are unable to publish this event. Possible causes for this decision may be:
• The event does not cause official road closures
• The event date is too close for us to take proper action
• Insufficient information provided
• The reported event is a crisis. If this is the case, please report it in your country Forum

If roads are closed due to disaster how do we notify

Your best bet would be to work with your local editing community.  

To get the full package from Waze it needs about 2 weeks from submitting the eventuntil the event starts. But to submit an MTE in the WME you need to raise an MTE and add closures.
