I absolutely LOVE this idea.

I know Waze Champs will be taking care of the updates, but maybe in the future you can open it up to Area Managers, but in a more limited fashion.

For instance, maybe the Area Managers/Country Managers can have a way to provide update suggestions to Champs.

Just a thought.

Are closures submitted through this Event Traffic Center limited to the Tiles Update schedule, or are they more time-specific, for example, 8 pm on a Friday through 5 am the following Monday?

I submitted one for I-95 in Delaware. On the first page of the submittal I made it clear the times the roads would be closed. The second page (with the permalinks of the affected roads) does not allow me to specify a date along with the time(s).

I should have tried a virtual route (on Live Map) over this past weekend to see if Waze would have routed me around the section of I-95 I flagged / submitted to be closed.

Hey Guys, We have a BIG BIG problem!!
We not receive the email alert when a new event is added from this page https://goo.gl/ZTUL2N
So we never know when some event is inserted.
Please settled immediately otherwise the Awazeing Race can not do

All the information in this thread is from 2013-2014 and mostly outdated.

There are new features and resources now regarding events, it's no longer only managed through online forms and spreadsheets.

Waze staff would get any submissions in here and if they need to notify Champs about something I'm sure they would do it through the Staff CM of each community like it happened before.

So, when a user send a new event from this link https://www.waze.com/events as we do to be notified?

At my request in Major Events roads were closed in time. However, Waze routed through the intersections of closed segments. As it was necessary to specify the closing that there was no such intersections?

A doubt I have about is or is not a MTE:

What kind of construction can be a great event?

In WME in portuguese, "construction" category is translated to "Obras". But "Obras", in portuguese, can be used to construction of new roads or to describe manutenance in existing ones.

For example, a maintenance of a few hours in a Tunnel or in a bridge , where the transit will be blocked, should be a MTE?

Thanks
