Absolutely brilliant, Ian (and everyone else who has contributed).

Thank you.

At the next meetup, will the champs please show the team what we editors WISH the UI looked like.
On a variety of screen sizes.

I agree with you that Waze needs to listen to some designers with training and expertise in UI / UX.
And also to allow the devs to actually try out the 3rd-party scripts.
Including scripts that improve UI. They are all aimed at improving UX (some through improving work flow, rather than appearance or layout)

Note that when I first load WME, the WAL tab is actually shorter than the others in the few seconds before FixUI applies its formatting fixes, I think the WAL tab is staying the same size both before and after FixUI applies its changes.

The problem is that WAL is applying a padding value of 4px directly to it's tab - specifically to the element with ID #sidepanel-wme-wal. Quite why this is being done, I don't know - you'd have to inquire of the author of WAL. As far as I know, there's no need to add this style to the tab. Without it, the tab will be the same size as all the others - both before & after my script makes changes to the tab sizes.

I have fixed this issue and posted an update to WAL. The 4px padding was there simply because it appeared all the other tabs had a 4px padding. Apparently that's being added elsewhere, so I've removed it from WAL.

[Script] WME Fix UI v2.12 -- 2018-02-26

Postby WazingArch » Thu Mar 01, 2018 1:38 pm

May I suggest a feature for fixing the WME Feed. Is it possible to prevent auto-jumping to another problem when a given problem is marked as solved? There are times when I need to add more data or simply check for other errors related to the problem and the feed sends me to the opposite side of the country. Thank you for the script.

Hi, can you implement fix for comments order on Map Comments. Currently comments on Map Comments do not appear in chronological order.

Hi, this script produces a bunch of errors in Tampermonkey for Chrome. I don't know how important they are, though.

Hi, can this script be used to show full length of alternative Place names on mouse hover so we can easily check what these names are? Regards.

Forcing an update to Chrome Version 62.0.3202.75 (Official Build) (64-bit) resulted in the problem going away.

That update to Chrome had not yet been offered automatically, even though we have it set to check for new versions.

That worked for me too (on macOS)! And I had to go to "About Google Chrome" in the Mac menu bar to even see that there was an update available.
