are these published somewhere?

I do not believe @bgodette ever published the landmark geometry simplifier script. It doesn't work any longer, so a new solution is needed.

Update: Unconfirmed turns at dead-end nodes are no longer touched/fixed by the internal JNF code and the "auto fix unconfirmed turns" function (#180)

So what is the reason behind this? Out in the wild west there's a lot of unknown direction dead end roads I enjoyed easily fixing!

The functionality to change the dead end turns was removed from WME awhile ago. If it is ever added back into WME, then we can re-enable this behavior in Toolbox. In the meantime, using that feature was/is a quick way to get throttled.

Dead-end u-turns are still in WME and do still need to be manually enabled on segments until Waze either mass-fixes the dead-ends to allow u-turns, or they fix the routing server to allow a stop-point on a dead-end segment without an enabled u-turn.

Two options still exist for this: 1) connect another segment, enable the u-turn and delete the temp segment, or 2) use standalone JNF which still has the enable dead-end u-turn functionality.

Highlighter City can show you that there is an alternative name. But you don't see the content of the alternative name. :(

I have a question/thought. When you rebuild roundabouts that have unattached roads going through them (say, tunnels under the roundabout), they get attached on a rebuild. While manually moving those roads out of the way and rebuilding is certainly feasible, it kind of detracts from the "automatic tool" feel of the feature.

Do you think it's possible to redo the roundabout and only include roads already attached to the pre-existing roundabout?

Great job to all of you guys who helped making the latest version work.
All work great for me!
(except roundabout landmark function but that's a minor detail ;))

Is anybody making use of the manual lock highlight?
I would like to do so, but all automatic lock levels, in the countries I'm editing, is set to level 1.
So all is green if I switch on this function.

Would or be possible to have it check acc to a set schedule, such as:
L5 freeway + ramp. L4 major. L3 minor. L2 primary. L1 street.
Rest to be discussed.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for your replies PesachZ and SuperDave1426.

I know it is also possible in validator, and it's a localized thing. It was available in the Netherlands, but i'd have to check why it's not anymore. And I agree, it's a validation, so that might be the best place for it.

I'll try playing with the custom check, although i'm not that familiar with such "language".

Maybe my post wasn't clearly showing, but my main question was actually the first sentence, if anyone is using the toolbox functionality related to this, and specifically if any countries have the automatic lock set on other levels than 1. ;)

Regarding this: Fix: Suppress unneeded junctions too aggressive , I've never experienced that.

What i did experience, was that Validator marked unneeded junctions on 2 segments with an opposing A-->B direction, but toolbox didn't remove the node, as on segments with similar A-->B direction.
Oyyodams didn't fix that, but I don't know if it was lost in the flood of forum posts, or just not that easy to solve.

If you could have a look at that?

you're right, but that auto-lock is based on traffic lock, i think, and not on a set standard scheme.

BellHouse wrote:What exactly should we look into?

Right now Tb removes the node only if the 2 segments have the same direction (which I think is the way it should be). Validator highlights differently, yes, but that's nothing we can change here.

i'm not referring to the driving direction. both segments can be 2-way.
it is just that all segments have an A and a B node. If 2 similar segments are connected, both by the A node, or both by the B node, toolbox doesn't remove the node.

i'll search for an example....
