Hi,
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much for the script. I've got some questions and some suggestions.
Q1: How does the "connected to(...)" option work? I could not use it as I wanted.
Q2: I change the zoom level and I get different results. Is is OK? Or am I doing sth wrong?
S1: It would be very useful to save some presets.
S2: I need to select roads with special restriction.
S3: It would be much easier to write my own selection command instead of adding. Of course, I know parsing the command would cause lots of problems. It is just a suggestion to make it "more perfect"!

Thank you very much again for the useful script!!!
Best,
Mohammad.

pvo11 wrote:Q1: Connected to selects segments which have common node with another segment fulfilling the connected to condition. The Allowed to condition is similar but there must be the green arrow to the neighbor segment.

Q2: With lower zoom numbers you see more segments but WME doesn't read data for some segment types in lower zoom numbers therefore the script cannot select them.

S1: You can save conditions. I don't plan to save any other presets.

S2: I could think about it but such condition would be too complicated and rarely used that I promise nothing.

S3: You can try WME RSel Expression Editor but it is not maintained any more.
Thanks a lot for the reply. It was really helpful

Hi again,
I thought about my earlier suggestion regarding selecting roads with special restrictions and I figured out the most important specialization about restrictions is the direction. In a special area there are many segments with the same restriction but in different directions due to the direction of the segments (a->b , b->a). It would be a great help if I could select all the segments with similar restrictions and modify them.
Best,
Mohammad

Ditto to that. Excellent addition to the arsenal of scripts to tackle map edits.
Thanks from me to you, and ALL the great scriptwriters on here. :D

1) Now that a TBSR of "Toll Free" makes the segment act like a toll road for any allowable vehicle that is not toll free, is there a way for WME Road Selector to select them? The Toll attribute is blocked off and is not selected.
So if a toll free tbsr is placed (with the required allowable restriction for the same vehicle type) the WME Road Selector script will not find the segment that is a toll.

Ex 1st restriction of toll free for taxi; 2nd restriction for allowable taxi and private vehicle.

This translates to taxis are toll free but private vehicles pay a toll. So would be nice for trouble shooting to find toll free segments.

Also the second pop up window for TBSR has the entire segment/left/center/right selection and the none/HOV/HOT/Express/Bus selection.

These are very easy to mess up on. If one segment on an HOV road has "None" instead of "HOV" then the routing algorithm does not find (or provide) the HOV route.

Is there a way to have these items added to the WME Road Selector script? Thanks

The main reason the allowable part is being asked is back when the old TBSR was changed, there was a problem with some segments that had trucks prohibited restrictions.

If there was a trucks prohibited 24/7 restriction, then it was:
a) Left as prohibited - trucks - 24/7
b) Changed to allowed - taxi/recreational vehicles/bus/vehicle towing a trailer/motorcycle/personal vehicle/hazardous materials/public transportation

The a and b options are not for the whole road. Most seem to be a, but there is the occasional b type thrown in the middle every few segments to make it interesting to have to find them all.

Problem is electric (one of the four allowable vehicle types as of May 2018) was left off so it prohibits anyone who selects that vehicle type. This is a pretty hard item to find as you have to individually select each segment and look at the restriction. Also have seen it on a TBTR which means you have to hover over each one, open the grey box and look at the restriction(s). Additionally hard since the history of the segment does not show a date for the backend change that occurred.

So for some parkways like Suitland Parkway and Baltimore/Washington Parkway in Maryland or the Merritt Parkway in CT.

Thanks that sounds like it will work. This one is hard since you have to find segments with allowable but you really are looking for a type that is missed. Just being able to find the allowable with a type or types of road restriction (say taxi, private vehicle, and motorcycle) will help to see if there are any sements selected that don't have electric.
