I'm noticing another issue with this new version as well: when using a custom comments file, it looks like the variable UrcommentsCustomReplyInstructions isn't taken into account. In fact, I can't seem to make the script add the URL for replying, even though it worked perfectly before.

UrcommentsCustomReminderPosistion and UrcommentsCustomCloseNotIdentifiedPosistion are loaded correctly, but it looks like UrcommentsCustomReplyInstructions isn't referenced anywhere in the code.

Is there something I'm missing?
waze updated the email that is sent to the wazers to include a direct link to the the UR. making the need for custom message and links both obsolete, so both were removed from the script.

we kept those in the comment files so the comments would work with the old and new version of the script.

One thing I'd like to request though - could you make it a bit less "noisy" about informing me that its UR filtering is turned off because I'm using URO+ filters? :) If I'm panning around the screen and move from an area where URs weren't into an area where URs are, I get the big yellow announcement at the top of the screen again. Kinda distracting. ;)

For that matter, maybe you could add a check so that it doesn't announce it if you've already manually turned it off under UR Filters? I've got that all unchecked because I prefer the URO+ filters, so since I've turned off URC UR Filters there, it doesn't make a lot of sense to keep announcing that they've been disabled due to URO+, etc. Just a thought, anyway. :D

Thanks again for the useful tool!
I only get the message one time, then URC will unchek it's UR filtering. I can not reproduce what you explained.

When I noticed it, I was out in the boonies and it happened a couple of times - which was when I posted that. And of course, now that I want to be able to demonstrate it, I can't get it to happen....

Well, I'll keep an eye on it. If it happens again - preferably in a more consistent fashion - I'll let you know.
when you see it happening verify that the check box for filtering is unchecked.

Ok, will do. Are there conditions under which it would turn itself back on after I'd already deselected it?
If your settings were not being saved perhaps a new tab or page reload. The only places the check box is set on, is page load and on clicking the check box.

now my selfish additional request is when returning you to the last tab if it could bring you back to the vertical position in the tab you were at before the auto jump to your tab would be great and if not that maybe an option for a force back to the top.

Thanks John Brooklyn NY USA
i am still very busy, and have had issues in the past with settings z height in the UR window.
when i get a chance i will play around and see if it works.

If you're referring to the comments above re disabling auto-centre on URs, then this is something high on my list of things to include in URO+ if I can figure out a way of doing it, because this behaviour really pisses me off. But first I need to fix the newly discovered problem with backfilled URs (no way, another useful add-on feature broken by a WME update, I really can't believe it...) before trying to add in any new workarounds for stuff like this.
i think the best choice would be to petition waze to make both UR and PUR have centering options under waze's "Advanced Preferences" tab!

I am not holding my breath so if anyone can figure out how to disable auto centering, we would both love to add that as an option. i did some limited peeking around and didn't see anything i could disable / remove.

SuperDave1426 wrote: I've had it happen when I'm zoomed in close to work on something, and for one reason or another I have to do a full page refresh. I get the usual announcement about it's disabled because URO+, etc. (I still wish there was a way to silence that if the filter box in URC isn't checked...), and I check to find that it's still unchecked. In fact, all options on the UR Filter tab are unchecked - which is how I set them because I much prefer URO+'s filtering options better, and the "pill" just adds clutter to my eye (some people may like it; I'm just not one of them :) ).
that message is only supposed to happen one time, and then the URC filters should self disable (uncheck)
there is only one place in the script that sets that message and it checks to see if URO filters are on and if URC filters are on. you are the only person i am hearing having this issue and i still can not recreate it on my end. so you will be crucial in helping fixing it.
On a completely separate note, I'm uncertain as to why you've added a UR Filtering system to an addon which was created to help with boilerplate comment replies on URs. This really seems like unneeded feature creep to me.... But at least you give the option to turn it off, so there's that. ;)
this script was always more than just boilerplate comments, from the second i got comments to work i started on making the whole UR process easier to deal with. there has always been an issue with URComments being too long to fit in waze's tabs and i thought URCommentsAndWhaterverElseICouldThinkUp would be overkill and that URC+ would be too confusing with URO+ at a glance.

I did not like having to circle around large areas to find each type of UR, so instead of demanding someone else try to script something just for me i decided to take that challenge on myself. Since i found the filtering so useful i included it in the script.
Anyway, when I zoom out after that page refresh and move around into an area which has URs (even if they're all hidden by a URO+ filter), I then see the message about disabling the filter because of URO+ pop up again. Checking again, I find that all boxes on the UR Filter tab are still deselected.
Anyways, to start try typing URCommentsFilterEnabled.checked in to the browser's console it should return true or false.

what OS and browser? this might be better suited to talk about on hangouts or slack. fyi i am about to step out for the day.

Version 1.4.7 fixed the switch back to previous tab option and I made it set the scroll height back to the previous scroll height.
