It worked. I did have it under Validator. But when I opened WME again, it was above it.

posted an update to try to work around the hardhats not showing up on startup. what i was checking to know WME was ready, started crashing the script when it loaded before WME and was preventing it from recovering. this was only happening on startup some of the times.

Thought.

How hard would it be to build certain hardhats that had roles built into them?

I.E - GC, LC, Mentors Etc.

Would it be hard to build lists into the script like TB has for GC?

Then you would just have to update the lists every now and again.

hardhats already has 3 lists i use to determine who gets what hardhart so it is doable. but doing so would override the custom hardhats.
Instead of the rank # i could put the title on the hardhat. but that still doesn't handle if a person has more than one title like if a GC was also a mentor.

Just make custom hard hats trump.

I am no scripter, but I would assume there are ways to make certain criteria take precedence over others, or is JavaScript harder to program like that?

Most roles follow a hierarchy, so you only need the top one per editor, if you parse the lists in order of preference starting with Custom, then GC down, and stop at first match, it should work. The exception is something like mentor which can be appended to other roles such as MGC, MLC, etc..

What about leaving rank as is. and giving custom colors, or features for the roles?
For Champs add a star,
Mentors an owl, etc.

Since Beta WME no longer has the "ME" tab I moved the dunce list to the settings tab.
