Version 2.34 is published on Greasyfork!

Move User Info button is a new feature. You've seen the new button by now. Very pretty - but it's a settings control and all the other settings live in the side panel on the left. Putting it on the toolbar with the editing buttons is silly, in my opinion, even if the top RH corner is a common location for this sort of control in many web pages. In WME, the top RH corner is for map controls! This setting moves it to the left, just next to the Waze logo at the top of the sidepanel.

Hide User Info in sidepanel has been removed. Because, of course, it's no longer needed.

I've improved the operation of the mouseover for the layers button (when it's moved back to the toolbar), following discussions earlier in this topic.

One thing you may have noticed with the new User Info button - it's very large and WME FixUI wasn't handling it before. I tried shrinking the image when compression is applied to the top bars - but I don't think it looked very good. I've therefore opted to replace it with a simpler "user" icon when compression is applied. Note that I had no trouble finding the icon - it's part of the standard icon set provided by Waze, even if I've never seen them use it!

Lastly there are a few other minor tweaks for changes in the latest WME production release.

[EDIT] I found a bug already!
The compression of the user icon in the top bar is also affecting the user icon that appears in the pop-up panel. It's a very minor bug and I've already fixed it. The fix will be in the next release.

Just as a note, your modification of the user button gives us all an icon of a level 6.....even if we're not. :o

Oh dear. That really was stupid/careless of me.

I'm not checking what level is currently there. I'm just swapping the L6 icon in/out. At least it doesn't stop anything working as it should - and I suppose it gives you all a chance to dream; and to see how bad the all-dark L6 icon looks.

I should be able to sort that without too much trouble - particularly if I can find where W.model holds the user level.

Found it, fixed it, ready for the next release.

Code: Select all
levelIcon.classList.add('level-icon','level-icon-' + (W.loginManager.user.rank+1))

Now I need to implement some code that reduces the icon rank by 1 every time you save a segment with no name & no city.

When I click on the pin to keep the layers panel open, the pin will turn blue but the layer panel will not stay open.

Anyone encounter this problem?

It's staying open for me until I hover over the layer panel button.
Thanks,

I am seeing the same as dspille. If I click the pin it stays open until I move the mouse over the layers button again, then the pin deactivates automatically.

Even without laying the mouse on the blue pin, after using various layers, SV, played with the zoom, etc...;after a while the layer panel closes itself.

The layers panel closes if the mouse moves from the layers button to the save button, or out of the document window.

Sorry, again. I simply forgot about the option to pin the menu open. I'll probably be able to look at it tomorrow, once the holiday chalet network is set up. ;)
