I know that others have provided ways to install this script, but here is my input :)

1) Download WME Magic from this link
2) Open the file in Notepad
3) Select and copy all text
4) Open Tampermonkey within the browser
5) Select the option to create a new script
6) Replace all text inside the editor by selecting all and pasting
7) Save the script

Hopefully this works for everybody

That is the better way at the moment 8-)

☞ Simplifiable Segments : ⁉️
You should remove as much nodes you can so it's easy for the app to show the route

should be you should remove as many nodes as you can.

Will the tool tip on save get more refined detail? Or maybe we can get an option to turn off the tool tip?

Yes, it was removed for the US.

Why? I loved it.

Because our senior editors have had bad experiences in the past where similar tools have caused too much damage, too quickly?

Toolbox has the option to highlight simplifiable segments, if you want to continue highlighting them.

Fantastic! Just curious: what is the difference between Toolbox having that feature and Magic, making the devs for Magic remove it?

It's the difference between just highlighting (TB) and the scirpt being able to "fix it".

I'm sure the devs could add it, however there are at least 1-2 other scripts that already can highlight segments without HNs out there.

Toolbox comes to mind...since I use it all the time :)

The script is very very very useful, but I have some questions to ask:

1) Why don't create a page with the "to do list" and the permalinks, like Validator does? It would be very useful.

2) When I look at the changelog (passing mouse over "save" button) I can only see the segment numbers, but not the permalink, but it's easier to find a segment using the permalink, much easier then using segment no.

3) Why some speed limits are changed from 0 to 30? 30 is an uncommon speed limit in italian streets.

Thanks in advance,
Andrea.

Hello.

I can't install that script.

I get:

"Unable to parse this! :("

Congrats guys ;)

Awesome script! This will be a great help for new editors to learn about rules and editing mistakes to avoid while editing, it was absolutely essential to have something like this available!
