I'm sure the devs could add it, however there are at least 1-2 other scripts that already can highlight segments without HNs out there.

Toolbox comes to mind...since I use it all the time :)

The script is very very very useful, but I have some questions to ask:

1) Why don't create a page with the "to do list" and the permalinks, like Validator does? It would be very useful.

2) When I look at the changelog (passing mouse over "save" button) I can only see the segment numbers, but not the permalink, but it's easier to find a segment using the permalink, much easier then using segment no.

3) Why some speed limits are changed from 0 to 30? 30 is an uncommon speed limit in italian streets.

Thanks in advance,
Andrea.

I can't install that script.

Congrats guys ;)

Awesome script! This will be a great help for new editors to learn about rules and editing mistakes to avoid while editing, it was absolutely essential to have something like this available!

The script does not reflect the recent status of what segments should be connected with driveable segments. Nowadays all segments should be connected with roads:
pedestrian boardwalks
walking trails
railroads
stairs

The script tells me to disconnect these segments, which is wrong.

I suppose you know the reasons for this and why the risk of being routed over these segments does not exist any more, I think most of this is non public knowledge, so I cannot go into detail here (send me a PM if you have questions).

It may no longer be an issue for routing, but it can still cause ETA accuracy issues to connect them and to fraction segments, adding more nodes in the process.

Personally I'm waiting for Phantom nodes to be released before connecting these types. Until that is available, I'll leave this highlight ON for Switzerland (maybe change the explanation message). You can of course ask to turn it OFF for Austria.

It can be turned off per-country if needed, check here who can do it for your location: https://profundos.org/waze/magic/

mhh60 wrote:Magic is really touchy about duplicate places. If there is "Walmart" and "Parking - Walmart" both will be highlighted as duplicate places. But that's a minor issue. I've been using Magic for only a day, but I'm really impressed with it, especially considering how it was rushed into production when Validator finally died. I especially like the UI.
It's not detecting duplicate places but places which are both linked to the same Google Maps location ID. This is not visible to all editors as you require at least L3 to see it (I think)

Sorry if this was already mentioned in the thread, but what does "Enhance MTE" do?

Also, I noticed that there's someone maintaining a list of things for the USA on your page supporting this addon. Is there a way to make it possible for the "Segment not protected" option allow for individual state requirements? I'm asking because I've got roads that are properly locked according to the state wiki for Nevada, and when I select that option, it flags them. I'm guessing that the national guidelines might say a higher lock level than the one that we're using here. I suspect other states might be doing that as well, so it would be nice to be able for the person who is managing a given country to be able to accommodate local-level differences from the national guidelines.
Enhance MTE adds a drop-down list at the top of WME with all MTEs in the area, so you don't need to switch to Event mode to see them. I'm not sure if it does other things yet, haven't played with it much.. Delfim can surely give more info ;)
By looking at the settings spreadsheet there is a State field, so I'm pretty sure all of what you're talking about can be done if the maintainer of the US config asks for it.

WME Magic is now fully translated for FRENCH ;) (I just finished)

So it should be released whenever Delfim will have time to update it :)

In addition to french, Magic is ready to support these languages anywhere (should be released for the next update):
- German, thanks to fuchserl!
- Ukrainian, thanks to madnut!
- Czech, thanks to bures!

As far as I know it's planned

If something is wrong in the default settings, this can be changed in the country config settings. For Italy Asterix06 is taking care of it, ask him to check it.
