[Script] WME Place Harmonizer

Post by
This is the new forum home for WMEPH, as of v1.3.
WME Place Harmonizer (WMEPH) is a script originally written by BMTG. The current lead developer is MapOMatic.

(note: The thick red hashed lines no longer indicate unlocked parking lot places. They are used for "other unlocked important or non-standard places".)

Color highlights and borders are placed on each place on the map according to the image above. Each type indicates a problem, or completion level. There is also a setting to disable highlights for places you cannot update without approval.
When "Run WMEPH" is pressed several items appear at the top of the Place panel. Text Boxes appear for you to input the relevant information as well as buttons for various services (Not on Parking lots). You will search accordingly and input information into each field and click add. WMEPH formats and inserts the information into the right place in the place panel. Re running the checks by pressing "Run WMEPH" will recheck the fields and lock the place when the values are all present.
The script will match names to chains in the Place Name Harmonization list when matches are found.

Updated to work with Google sheets API v4. Hopefully works for everyone, but let me know if you notice anything strange. This hasn't been thoroughly tested yet :geek: .
Sorry to say, but since today, WMEPH is not working on Win Chrome, even if it's the sole script activated. If I can provide any helpful information, let me know.

For the last few days I have a problem when working on parking lot areas. After running WMEPH on the PLA, some buttons (price, number of places) do not work when clicked. Also the frame of the lot vanishes and only the nodes remain visible. After clicking elsewhere, the place is vanished and resurfaces only when reloading data/page.

Version 2019.07.25.001 (I tried to update but that seems to be the current version).

Any hints for me what I am doing wrong?

Would it be possible to parse the full address rather than the house number, street and city separately?

That's actually a lot more complicated than it sounds. There are so many variations, it makes pattern matching impossible to do reliably (I've tried). Some companies provide (paid) online parsing services, but they actually maintain a database of addresses and combine that with some AI to help parse them.
I fully understand (college project flashbacks  :o ) But I think even a simple 80% solution would be helpful.

When I select a Place, I no longer see the "Run WMEPH" button, and the hot key doesn't work either. Is there a known incompatibility with some other script?

I think everybody can interest in your script to harmonize places.

Can you open your script to be available in the world ?

best regards from France
I agree, and I would love it if I had the time to do this. However, the script is heavily coded with things that are specific to North America and the English language. It would likely be easier to start from scratch and build something similar to WMEPH, with internationalization in mind.
So the base could still be WMEPH, but try to make it more flexible/open to internationalization?

I assume that with this the future plans for internationalization for this script are off the table? No problems if they are, just checking ;)

I'm sorry, did I break your concentration? I didn't mean to do that. Please, continue, you were saying something about best intentions. What's the matter? ...Oh, you were finished!

Lots of little things and fixes for the new WME UI:

FIXED - Bad formatting of "Lot type" buttons.
FIXED - "Change to point" button is broken.
FIXED - Add Google Link pops up at the top left corner of screen sometimes.
FIXED - Crash when undoing changes in some scenarios.
FIXED - Latest WME update still breaks things.
FIXED - Latest WME update breaks things.
NEW (again) - Hours won't parse if open and close time is the same.
FIXED - Hours text box extends outside panel if Fix UI is used to shrink the side panel width.
FIXED - Removed "same hours" check to fix bug caused by that feature. Will add in a later release.
NEW - If hours can't be parsed, entry box turns red instead of replacing with message.
NEW - Hours buttons moved above the hours entry box.
NEW - Hours won't parse if open and close time is the same.
NEW - Places with Military category will show the hours entry box.
FIXED - Crashes when address cannot be inferred from closest segment.
NEW - Hours parsing handles "today" and "tomorrow".
NEW - "Force title case" handles Mac surnames like MacMillan.
Awesome! I also find it interesting to see the change log notes... with the “still breaks things” (Beta to production?) lol.

Thank you for all your dedicated hard work!
