Get with me on Discord. I am currently working with NJ and they are setting up their own list. We actually talked about making it a NOR list and I have setup a way for you all to include your email and username tag sentence. Would love to work with NY too and maybe we can all collaborate to get a NOR list up and running.

This is something I have tossed around a lot. My first thought was to make a standardized national list then allow regions / states to add some custom responses. I steered away from that for now.

But, my other idea was to create a way for users that do not have a region / state / national list to easily create their own custom list that would load alongside their default selected list or auto switched list. I will pursue this. However, I still want the overall goal of the comment lists to be a state / regional or national list. This creates uniformity and standardization amongst editors allowing for a more streamlined UR lifecycle process.

How would you denote which comments to insert the additional text to? With the comments being controlled and reloaded from the google sheet every WME reload, there wouldn’t be a way to locally denote which get it and which don’t. Without some advanced coding (which I could do... like add a checkbox next to a comment). But even with a checkbox, there isn’t anything to key on except the title itself or order in the list, and those could change at any time by the comment list owner. So really, the only option would be to have a setting box to allow you to type in your own response to append to EVERY message, then you’d have to delete it if you don’t want it there. But that could wreak havoc on the double click option. It would either A) append automatically or B) I say do not append the extra text on double clicks.

Thoughts?

Make sure you have your custom one enabled and loaded in TamperMonkey. Make sure it’s exactly as it was for URC.

I have checked it several times, including deleting and re-creating (copy and paste) it several times. I even tried deleting and re-installing URC-E in an attempt to at least be able to get back to the default sheet, but it didn't clear the settings. Is there a way to reset URC-E to default settings?

I know there is a bug with that. I haven’t had a chance to push the fix yet. But yes, you can reset back to defaults.
Disable URC-E. Then reload WME. Then open console and type:

localStorage.removeItem("WME_URC-E");

Then to make sure the settings are reset:

Code: Select all

localStorage.getItem("WME_URC-E");

should show undefined or null.

Then reenable URC-E and reload WME.

I am actually designing something along these lines. It's a work in progress and will have to go through some beta testing before it reaches production. Thank you for the idea!
