Super cool. That has been an annoyance. Future feature to add a little special icon noting how many URs might be stacked so we can see them at a distance?
Some sort of stacked marker highlighting was part of my original plans for this feature. However, the reason I've ended up doing it only for the currently moused-over marker is simply that it means I only need to do the stack determination processing for that one marker, rather than having to do it for every single marker on the screen.

It's not an idea I've given up on entirely though, so wait and see...

Thanks for the report. Hadn't noticed this one since the UK is rather devoid of MPs at the moment, but I've now replicated the problem with a cluster I found in the Netherlands, and it's fixed in the current dev build...

shawndoc wrote:I've found that when using "Backfill data" in areas with a lot of URs, that URO will never actually filter the URs. This seems to happen most often for me in parts of Los Angeles which have a high amount of URs. If I scroll to a section of the map with less URs, the filtering starts working again, or if I turn off Backfill.
Now that my LA area has come online, I've been able to start testing URO+ behaviour on the US server, and straight away I've noticed something which probably explains the problem shawndoc is describing here.

On the US server, WME runs a lot slower than on the International server. Sufficiently so, that when backfilling is enabled, the usual sequence of requests URO makes to the servers gets out of sync with how it behaves on the International server. This then causes some of the later requests (which were expected to occur earlier) to ask for more data than is allowed by the servers, and so instead of getting back the data it needs, URO gets an error response instead...

So now that I'm able to see the problem for myself, a fix will hopefully arrive sooner rather than later. Watch this space.

For standard WME users, 3.40 fixes session hiding for MP markers, and improves the backfilling behaviour when there are a significant number of URs to be backfilled. Beta users also regain full support for MPs.

Firefox users: please note that all the additional DOM manipulation required to render the backfilled UR markers can cause noticeable sluggishness in WME operation when backfilling large numbers of URs. If you routinely need to use backfill in order to manage your areas, I suggest switching to Chrome where the performance is markedly improved.

Chrome users: observant Chrome users at least will notice the date in the "what's new" popup wasn't updated... rest assured that if it says v3.40 you've got the latest version of the code - I simply forgot to change the date before packaging the code for upload to the web store. Firefox users get the correct date, but have to suffer performance issues, so take your pick as to which problem you'd rather have :D

gamasi wrote:Guys, I'm having problems with the popups for new UR.

When I put the mouse over an orange or red UR it seems to work perfectly, but when I try on a new UR (yellow) nothing happens. No popup :(

The box on "Disable popup for:" UR is unchecked
Haven't noticed any problems with any colour of UR marker, nor with orange or red problem markers. I haven't been able to check with yellow problem markers since I can't find any, however unless WME is treating them differently to the orange/red ones then I can't see any reason why URO+ would fall over on those.

If you're still seeing this problem, please send me some permalinks so I can investigate further.

gamasi wrote:Only URs with more than 5 days shown a popup.

This is my area in Brazil...
We solved all URs in 3 days in this area due to the large number of requests. So that's why I "need" the popup on the yellow URs.

Sorry to be bothering you with this, but nobody could solve this problem for me
Still not able to replicate the problem. If you're using Chrome, or Firefox with the Firebug addon installed, please can you try the following:

In the URO+ tab, click on the script version number - you should see (dbg) appear to the right of this.

Open the javascript console (Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+J, Firefox: click the Firebug button in the toolbar)

Move the mouse pointer over a UR marker which isn't displaying a pop-up

Check the console window for any output starting "URO+:"

For a working UR popup you should see something like this

URO+: UR image type 1
URO+: hover over UR ID 4501693
URO+: checking for marker stack, type 1...
URO+: building popup for UR 4501693
URO+: Livemap link in header menu, locating...
URO+: found link in menu entry 0
URO+: https://www.waze.com/livemap?lon=-0.423 ... 29&zoom=12
URO+: FID mismatch, show popup: 4501693/-1
URO+: display popup at 884,588

Those two buttons are only enabled when you've hidden a UR or MP marker by clicking on the "Hide for this session" link in the UR/MP popup.

GuibaBR wrote:"Hide URs not including" is not working for me (filters everything, no matter what I type in). Using the same string on "Hide URs including" I get them to blink by enabling/disabling the checkbox.

Anybody else having the same problem?
Seems to be working OK here, are you sure you were using exactly the same string with no sneaky extra spaces etc. at the start or end?

qwaletee wrote:I tried this here, an area rich with URLs of different ages. On the red icons and greens, I got output similar to what you listed. On yellows, I got no output whatsoever. Below your quote, the entire output for a single working hover (I believe it was red).

Seems like for some reason, URO+ is not even detecting that you are over a yellow at all.

Edit:
I believe orange behaved like yellow, but did not have one handy to verify with.
It does work with orange icons. So only yellow have issues.

Also, just to add to the data for analysis. If I hover over a yellow, and it fails to popup, open it, set to Solved or Not Identified (without saving or closing UR), the UR will now pop up on hover. Change it back to Open, and the popup stops again. I can flip it back and forth this way all day long, and as long as at the moment it is yellow, no popup, at the moment is not yellow, popup.
So when you hover over a marker which doesn't generate a popup, do you see *anything* in the debug console? If you don't even get a "hover over UR ID xxx" entry, this would indeed indicate that URO+ isn't able to detect the hover, whereas if you do get that but then don't get the "FID mismatch" entry, it indicates that URO+ has detected the hover OK but thinks the popup for that UR has already been displayed.

Does WME at least indicate that the UR is being hovered over by highlighting it? If that isn't even happening, then URO+ has no chance...

When hover the cursor over the yellow UR nothing appears on the debug console window
Thanks, that narrows it down to a fairly limited set of reasons for the popup not appearing. Does the marker change colour (to a slightly paler yellow) when you hover over it?
