I tend to scan my region first for URs with comments by me with no comments less than 32 days old, LMUR didn't show these two (which have comments from me) when I did that. When I then scanned again for URs that are over 256 days old with no comments less than 32 days old, they show (sometimes).
I think the difference in days is a red herring - having checked the source code in both scripts I see that LMUR is using an older version of the day calculation, so the difference between this and URO+ is expected.

Where stacked URs aren't the answer, then there are two further reasons why the comment count could differ between LMUR and WME.

1. LMUR never received the comment data back from the server - it would then list the UR as having 0 comments no matter how many it actually did have.

2. Comments have been added to the UR within WME after LMUR last refreshed its cache data for that UR - in this case LMUR could show a non-zero comment count, but the count would still be lower than that shown in WME.

Case 2 is addressed by the "remove cached blocks after" option - reducing this will then force LMUR to reload the data more often. Case 1 is something LMUR could detect by itself, and I'll do some work on that for the next release.

2.19 is here...
  • UI is now completely minimised when LiveMap session starts
  • UR age calculation now uses the same code as URO+
  • URs can now be filtered by custom tags ([NOTE], [EVENT] etc) in their comments
  • URs for which the server has yet to return comment data can now be shown or hidden, and their popup also indicates that comment data is not yet available
  • A single marker is now created for each UR etc. no matter how many copies of the data for that marker get returned from the server during data caching

ditchi56 wrote:A request: could a filter by age be added for Place Updates please?

I think it ought to be possible since the age of each place update requests appears when the cursor hovers over it. My reason for asking is that I prefer to concentrate on roads and let others deal with places, and this seems to work most of the time. But if there's a place update in my AM area which is more than a week or so old, I'll do it myself - if I can spot it.

Ideally I'd like the same for Map Problems, but I'm not sure the data is there to make that possible?

Yes, age-filtering of PURs can be added both here and in URO+ (your post also reminds me that I need to add the age in the URO+ popup too...).

As for map problems, the only age-related data here is how long ago the MP was solved, there's no corresponding data to say when it was generated. However I have a vague recollection that the colour of the MP marker corresponds to how long it's been present, in which case the corresponding severity filters would provide some degree of age-related filtering.

What is the yellow highlighting? Assuming it's areas that have been requested from server, but ...
What does the different tints of yellow mean?
Is it possible to have an option to remove the tint? Would look better for screen grabs.

Could we get an outline box of the area being scanned? Thought I saw that it only pulls down 1x1 degree box at a time, so would make covering a large area easier.
Yes, the yellow tint indicates areas for which LMUR has received data, and the different levels of tint indicate how fresh the data is - as the data ages, the tint level fades based on how old the data is relative to the "remove cached blocks after" setting. Currently the only way to remove the tint is to disable LMUR.

By outline box do you mean some sort of indication as to which areas have been queued up for data retrieval?

I'm currently seeing random errors in LM with or without LMUR enabled - roughly 1 in 3 requests for a route result in the server returning a 403 error. It also seems to be affecting Tim's Route Checker script in WME. So for now I'm going to class this as a Waze issue rather than a LMUR one...

Thanks for the heads-up, looks as if the request syntax for getting PUR data from the server has changed slightly... As the fix appears to be pretty straightforward (famous last words), I'll see about getting an updated version of the script pushed out later today.

No, the update hasn't happened yet - I ended up not having enough time to finish working on it earlier in the week, and then the Waze servers started misbehaving...
