This is where I think this type of highlighting could be useful. I started going through my area, block by block, to check street names and house numbers. It became almost impossible to keep track of what streets I had verified the house numbers on. If there was some way to highlight the streets that had any non-bumped addresses, or even better highlight the non-bumped ones in the house number manager, then I'd have a way to keep track of what I've fixed and haven't.

Not sure if this is even remotely possible through the Waze API though. Just wishful thinking.

House numbers are not used until touched by an editor. It doesn't have to be recently. It just has to have a "Last edited by" date.

No, houses don't often move. But a lot – A LOT – of the imported house number data is wrong, very wrong.

I mean that only recently touched numbers are used instead of googles addresses. But I might be wrong.

That's crazy.

Once it transitions from unconfirmed to "trusted" (touched), it's a safe bet that the house hasn't moved!

I mean, yes, we have contractors that move houses from time to time, but if the owner is really OCD about preserving the home, they generally keep the original numbers on the house but move from 123 Main, Northland to 123 Main, Southland, or maybe 123 Division, Anytown.

But is 123 Main really going to move across the street?

Suggestion:

As far as I know, house numbers imported with the basemap aren't used in Waze until an editor has "bumped" them.

Reference: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... ed#p871443

With the addition of user reported places, specifically them being used to help us update addresses, is it possible to have a highlight option for streets that have house numbers that have never been touched by an editor?

The highlight places function isn't working in the new WME.

Thanks in advance for fixing it!

I am working on the next version, and I will try to address the issues raised in this thread recently.

Tim: if it helps, here are some notes:
this permalink will show two nodes: https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... 133&zoom=8

They both have soft ("unconfirmed") turns. The node on the left highlights. The node on the right does not.

I hope you mean "where a u-turn could be make *legally*" -- there are a lot of interstates where there are turn-arounds restricted to emergency vehicles only...

Of course.

I was thinking more of rural MH roads what may have dozens of driveways over a couple of miles, but few mapped.
