Actually IGNs are not directly contracted by Waze, they are employees of an outsourcing company called Ignite which seems to be based in Ukraine, and which also seems to be the source of their "ign" prefix.

That means that Waze has very little control over what they do and only do something on particularly bad cases.

However, the function request for highlighting things (not only places) last edited my an IGN does seem like a good idea.

What IGN is to work on, their tasks, are directly controlled by Waze. Waze has control over which contractors work for them and don't and have them removed when performance is poor. This model is typically referred to as "staff augmentation."

Request (old one): Change color of the circle around a House Number to show which are updated by an editor. Example in the screenshot is green circles have been updated by an editor. Normal blue ones have not.

I've missed something somewhere - 1) how can there be house numbers that weren't put in by an editor, and 2) why should "nudging" them be necessary?

There are definitely house numbers that where placed by some automated system. They are often wrong or in incorrect place. They don't have Last edited editor by tag. So it might be possible to detect them.

To answer 2). If a house number hasn't been edited by an editor, waze does not use it in address searches. Once an editor makes any change to an automatically imported house number, then waze does use that house number in address searches. Thus, the need to "nudge" the automatically imported house numbers that are correct.

@Timbones, I am getting an error in the console and my list of local users for highlights only shows me. The error is:

2) filter roads (landmarks) by country, as I have problem (not the first time) when 10km and even more from Latvia/Estonia border primary country is wrong. Maybe there are some segments with wrong country what could cause this and such functionality could be VERY useful.

With the Highlighter City you can filter roads by country.

As now v.1.6 is now in all servers, Timbones, can you please redesign the feature "Highlight Places" to see places in more colors? Thank you!

Until Timbones has not implemented a solution for this, you can try my Highlighter (HiLiCi).

Okay, here is Beta v1.93.

I've rewritten much of the place highlighting feature, and it will now show recent edits and also highlight point places.

Use the segment options to highlight places in a specific city, edited by a specific user, or edited within a number of days (in that order of precedence). There's a separate option for locked places.

I think it would look better at highlighting recent or places at specific city, when not all other (old / outside) places get pink again.

You mean that you want to keep the colours of landmarks which aren't yellow or green? I had deliberately changed them back to pink so that they would stand out, but I could change that.

Yes, this is what I mean. I tried it in group of lakes and all blue lakes (except one) become pink. I would prefer all without the special highlighted keep their colour.
