The ramp highlight is useful for determining whether some ramp segments are perhaps unnecessarily named. I could see it being desirable to be able to turn the no-name highlight off for ramp segments temporarily, but having it off for ramps and on for at-grade connectors (not something you can program around) seems like it'd be an inconsistent experience.
Cannot we achieve that using toolbox's sort option?
Which do you mean? Removing names from parking lot roads is easy to achieve with Toolbox, yes, so the separate highlight for named parking lot roads isn't necessary. With ramps, it's specific ramps that do and don't need names, so you need the visual.

The benefit of not highlighting parking lot roads is removing clutter, which doesn't affect and isn't affected by Toolbox.

Seems to be the same thing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the soft turns/revcon/selfcon function in WMECH limited to rank 3 and above?

Edited to remove private link.

And so? As a mentor, you also have access to at least one private forum that most editors have no access to, even some level 6 editors.

I'm sure it was a mistake. Sometimes I forget which threads are in which forums. I do not appreciate being called a "chump".

I feared that might happen. Given that Validator shows these too (?), I'm considering dropping this feature from my script...
Toolbox also highlights these, although who knows how long Toolbox will be around....

Now I can't remember which way WMECH highlighted them, because I've been using the Toolbox+Validator highlights for it, and I think I used bgodette's WMECH fork for a time before that. Validator just shows a segment highlight, so I would always use Toolbox's highlight as well – Toolbox would draw a circle around the node itself. I'm much less likely to ignore a bright purple/yellow circle around a node when editing quickly than I am to ignore a standard Validator highlight, which could be for anything – because I know the problem ahead of time and I can fix it very quickly.

But I don't even know if this is helpful because I don't remember which way WMECH does it...

edit Oh yeah, my point is, I still think it's worth having in addition to Validator if it will show them by highlighting the node, rather than by highlighting the segment. With Toolbox in serious limbo, I think this is something WMECH could do well.

House numbers are not used until touched by an editor. It doesn't have to be recently. It just has to have a "Last edited by" date.

No, houses don't often move. But a lot – A LOT – of the imported house number data is wrong, very wrong.

Hi! I've found a problem with the beta 1.93.

When I try to bridge the segments of Arthur Rd over I-87 here, the edit happens, but the save button does not light up and the save number does not show.

I narrowed it down to WMECH. To reproduce, I select the middle segment of Arthur Rd first, then the east segment.

It throws the following error:

I'm not sure they should be highlighted at all, and if anything, it should be subtle and also documented (maybe in an explanatory mouseover it could say that that is not necessarily an issue). We don't want people to put things into the wrong categories just because none of the general categories fit. Tobacconists go in "shopping and services" because there isn't a narrower category that fits. Same with liquor stores, and those are just the two I could think of, there are plenty more.

Oh, that's a pretty good idea actually. The dashed line does sound pretty subtle now that I think about it and I can abide that too.

Would miss a lot that way – many parts of the US at least aren't part of any city at all.
