Agreed, a Google Map Maker button is one of those things I keep meaning to request but keep forgetting to.

@SuperDave:

Exactly, you can still switch back to classic, but in the new one you only have the option to report stuff, not to go into mapmaker and fix it yourself.

However, mapmaker has a pretty good search feature so finding my spot isn't hard, it's just annoying to have to do.

Awesome!

While we're at it, could we somehow have the 'earth' layer default to on in the google links? Or provide it as an option in the settings window?

If not, that's fine, I'm more than happy just to have the mapmaker link mostly working. ^_^

SuperDave1426 wrote:Thanks, but I wasn't looking for the actual physical location on the hard drive. :-) Chrome uses that, and controls it. At least, if I understand the process correctly. :D

It would seem that Chrome is clearing the local storage when I close the browser, given that when I restart it my previous settings for what stuff shows up on the toolbar (and where I had dragged it to) is gone and I have to set it all over again the next time that I start it up and login to Waze.

That's that I'm looking for - how to control Chrome's actions WRT the local storage area.
Pretty sure this is the 'cache.'

Stop clearing your cache and see if your settings stay.

If you notice in the screenshot, the only way to delete 'other site and plug-in data' is to also delete cookies. And the only way to NOT delete 'other site and plug-in data' is to NOT delete cookies.

So somehow Chrome is throwing plugins in with cookies. Why I don't know. But that's probably why setting it for cookies also sets it for plug-ins. WME Toolbox is basically a plug-in.

Alternate street suggestions.

- Tool to delete alternate names when the main name is not there.

- Tool to select multiple segments by same alternate name.

- Tool to delete, change, or add an alternate name to all selected segments without messing with or otherwise altering the main name or other alternate names on any of the segments you change.

- Tool for detecting/selecting/purging/merging/simplifying segments that have identical alternate names with different cities. (Either identical to other alternate names or identical to the main name.)

- Tool for swapping the main name with an alternate name.

I think that just about covers it. Any other ideas? =P

As far as the roundabout, yes it deletes and makes another. Not only do you not get to keep the creator data, but all speed/traffic data gets lost too, just like would happen if you deleted and remade any other segment. That's why it's important to make them right in the first place.

This is the only way possible to fix that type of issue. Even if you weren't using the toolbox you'd still have to delete it and make another in order to fix the issue. So don't worry about it.

I'm going to agree with the whole 'rebuild' thing is kinda self explanatory. It's not saying 'fix' roundabout, after all.

I also agree that things like popup confirmations need to be options so that they can be disabled. Or just not included in the first place.

Hi Oyyo,

I've seen a couple reports now that this script is causing strobing/flickering of the background when scrolling around in the Beta editor. Are you able to look in to it?

Isn't this really to ensure you don't miss out on any points? ;)
