Sweeper allows these deletions because WME allows them. You can delete these nodes manually. Having sweeper detect other differences and disallow the deletion is a good idea, though.

It already does a bit of that, in my observation.

There are nodes I can delete with WME but sweeper doesn't touch.

There is a difference between my choosing to delete that node and having the script delete it. If the script allowed me to review the choices it made that would be OK but tedious.

The perfect script would only delete those nodes that will not change routing. Except, of course, for the tiny affect one node has on the routing algorithm.

Another consideration would be whether to delete a node that separates road type only, all other parameters being the same. Currently the script will NOT delete such a node even though I can do so in the editor. I see this as "a good thing" in both respects. I am merely asking for the same restriction be applied to different directionality.

I agree too, and it's now fixed.

1.3.4.2
Fix: "Suppress Unneeded Junctions" does nothing when 2 same segments are connected to a roundabout
Fix: "Suppress Unneeded Junctions" does not take care of direction

When redrawing a roundabout it sets the elevation +1
Also It doesn't remember the lock level.

I just checked some roundabouts I redid a few days ago - confirmed. That needs to be fixed. :-)

I have to rewrite the whole redo-roundabout function. I'm working on it.

By the way...

"Redo roundabout" can also change road type. It changes roundabout and connecting Freeway segments to Major Highway instead.

Sorry to possibly add to your work. :(

The UK has different rules on roundabout road types from the general Junction Style Guide.

FWIW, the JNF roundabout fixing function seems to work correctly for the UK.
