Re: [Script] WME Junction Angle Info

I've just noticed an untranslated string in Spanish LATAM and another that did not fit the space in version 2.0.9. These are the new ones:

Code:
overrideAngles: "Ver ángulos en \"instrucciones forzadas\"",
               continueInstructionColor: "\"Sigue derecho\"",

I hope they will be included in next release.

Can you please fix this script as it is an essential part of the editors' workflow. Currently, the script doesn't show any turn instructions

No issues here. What version do you have?

I made this attached image to use with the Image Overlays script while creating or improving roundabouts, specifically to make it easy to ensure that roundabout attachments are within the correct parameters to produce "turn right", "turn left", "continue straight", etc.

Use Image Overlays to place and position this guide on top of where you will be placing your roundabout, and draw your roads so that when the RAB is added your attachment points will fit within the narrow forks relative to adjacent attached segments, and you're all set to generate clean roundabout turn instructions without any trial and error adjustments.

To allow plenty of margin for error, the angles on this guide are +/- 10 degrees instead of +/- 15, so you can actually fudge a little bit outside of the narrow forks and probably still be OK, just verify with JAI after you save your work.

Or you could use WME RA Util which shows the angles and whether they will produce normal instructions or not.

If the angles are wrong, you can use the script to move the attachment points until they are; plus you can rotate, resize & move the entire roundabout.

I reckon you'll find that a lot easier than playing with an overlay. ;)

Well, the really fun part is that I already use RA Util, but I had not used it in depth enough to realize that functionality was there, because I've been using it just to move and resize them, and was moving specific junctions manually.

Pretty humbling, lol. If it weren't for your very helpful reply benefiting from the context, I would have preferred to delete my previous post and gone to hide in the Humble Corner for a few days.

I just noticed that for a median U-turn prevention there is no more double angle information when IN and OUT are local streets only, still they show up if IN and OUT are primary or higher.
Is this a bug in the current script version or were the rules changed for median U-turn prevention?

Haven't noticed the change in the script.
But if it is it is a good change.
Because there is no uturn penalty with only street segments. That's been this way for years now. See my post and tested by ituajr. See following posts.
Although it seems only be configured this way in INTL server. Regarding this post.
