Seems to be a no-win situation. At least all existing extensions will work. And I'm guessing that extensions that update themselves will be able to do so. We'd only have issues with extensions that have to be manually updated or that we want to install later.

Another reason for me to not use Chrome. If I can't block ads, I definitely won't use it.

Isn't there a one time fee for becoming a developer? $40 or something? I looked into it once, but never got around to actually doing it. I might have another look at it...
