I'm looking for a custom search that will find all "Street" and "Primary Street" that have more than one "alternate name"

as always

Thanks
Try this:

Code: Select all

Template: ${typeRank}:${altStreet[1]}
Regexp: /1[01]:.+/
Seams to work great

Thanks

Hi berestovskyy,

I'm getting a lot of false positives in the US for rule "#170 'Lowercase street name' (merged #93, #94)" since v0.9.5.

Permalink: https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=5&lat ... 89&env=usa

The false positives come in the form of "25th St" or "A St" and the likes. I appreciate you looking into it.

Another false positive type in the form of "W U pass St" here: https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=7&lat ... ts=7067915

Thanks,
James

Hi berestovskyy,

Thanks for the fast fix!

On a side note, is there any chance you can allow street names (in the US) that start with "de", "de la", "del", "el" and "la" to not trigger the #170 rule? There are a number of streets in San Diego that start with those and they are 'correct'.

Examples:
https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=7&lat ... ts=6953500
https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=5&lat ... ts=7077112
https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=5&lat ... ts=7013094
https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=4&lat ... ts=7077129
https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=5&lat ... ts=7094876

Many thanks!
- James

Sorry for starting such a heated off topic debate here.

pumrum, I understand where you're coming from. And now to think about it, yes it is better to standardize this way than to modify the validator to fix such a small number of cases.

dbraughlr, my examples were poor. I should have fixed those to conform with the official spelling instead of using them as examples. :(
