Sri Lanka cityname Layer, version 0.0.4

Postby AndyLaode » Tue May 24, 2016 11:35 am

dear all

please use this city boundary script for correct city naming around Sri Lanka.

download the script from here

currently now as per 20 June 2016, the version is updated to 0.0.4. we will update it to fine tune the boundary

things to remember:
    a. do not use city name for A, B, and E roads (Major highway, Minor Highway, and Freeway).
    b. do not use city name for Railroad, pedestrian, walking trail, and runway
    c. do not use city name for Mountain, River, forest, island, lake, farm, park and other natural feature

    d. use city name only for streets, primary streets, dirt road, Private, and PLR
    e. use city name for gas station, commercial building, residential, etc

step by step on how to install the script

when you have not installed the script, the appearance of your layer will be something like this (depend on how many user script that you have been install)
[ img ]

to install, open your tampermonkey and go to dashboard
[ img ]

go to utilities tab
[ img ]

download the script from here and put it on your folder (any folder, can be your desktop)

in your utilities tab from tampermonkey, direct your mouse to zip section. choose the downloaded file
[ img ]

go ahead to import it
[ img ]

reload your WME

after reload, open your layer again, you will see Sri Lanka cityname Layer
[ img ]

enable it and you will see the boundary

have fun

best, Andy

Andy, i think you rendered too hard. so some boundary points are missing. some island and some label are missing too.

try this overlay. i created this last month.

you will see the different.
example : this location and this location

tq
