We actually just got confirmation for date/city for the 2018 Second Annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Meetup. I'll post a new topic shortly!! Stay tuned.

I'm looking forward to seeing some live faces! Thanks to everyone who has been working on this.

One other thing . . . the hotels around Dulles can have some remarkably good room rates on weekends. That's probably true elsewhere but a quick check of the Hilton IAD shows rates from $75.00 - probably even less with a group rate.

That's good to hear, Terry. I wasn't advocating this hotel, it's just one that I often use when flying from Dulles. They don't charge for parking (downtown hotels can be $40 or more/night), have a free shuttle to/from the airport and also the Udvar Hazy Air and Space Museum. It is a four star hotel according to Tripadvisor: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Revie ... ginia.html

The downside is that it's not convenient to downtown Washington, DC. Perhaps the shuttle will take one to a metro station (there's always Uber).

They're all fine choices. Of the three I'm thinking the Ritz Carlton is most convenient to National Airport, daily parking, metro, Pentagon City and Crystal City.
