[Script] WME HardHats

Post by rickzabel
WME HardHats
version 0.3.0
Changes the editor hard hats based of editor rank

1. Green
2. Light Blue
3. Light orange
4. Brown
5. Blue
6. Red

https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/7109-wme-hardhats

With this latest version WME the drawing in of the editors has been happening so quickly that the script can not beat the showing of the editor hardhats, jumping away or zooming all the way in for a few seconds should kick start the script.

i will continue to work on it, but wanted a place where people could comment if need be.

Exactly, local to that computer/browser

Most roles follow a hierarchy, so you only need the top one per editor, if you parse the lists in order of preference starting with Custom, then GC down, and stop at first match, it should work. The exception is something like mentor which can be appended to other roles such as MGC, MLC, etc..

two char was going to have to be shrunk down, for 3 i don't think would be readable.
What about leaving rank as is. and giving custom colors, or features for the roles?
For Champs add a star,
Mentors an owl, etc.

Since Beta WME no longer has the "ME" tab I moved the dunce list to the settings tab.
Is this version available yet, I'm not getting it when I trigger an update in TM?

dmcrandall wrote:Rick, what' the Dunce Cap field for? I stuck a name in there, and now I can't remove it. What did I mess up?
i have had trouble with that list saving names here, i find it comical that you cant get it to clear. i was saving the list every time and editor moved, I just made it so the save button is the only thing that triggers a save. please update and see if that helps.

the field is on the me tab and that is exactly what it does!

dmcrandall wrote:Ok, I typed in an editor, and saved. The only change I saw was the colored hardhat disappeared. When I finally was able to get his name out of the field (delete, save x3) his colored hat is still gone.

I'll play with it tonight. Maybe I'm having a script conflict.

Spelling errors are courtesy of large thumbs and a small smartphome keyboard.

Putting a name in does not instantly change the editor’s hat. You or the editor has to jump away or you have zoom all the way in for a few seconds. Waze stores a list of editors on your screen moving away / zooming clears the list.
