I'm more inclined to say oceans have been excluded.

Can you look into Durban, South Africa?

Off the top of my head, parts of Cape Town, Kommetjie and Strandfontein

Is there not a way of putting the "problem solving" in the hands of the editors, perhaps say using the island place as a work around?

Hi Noam,

we have several bodies of water placed over streets, highways or in some areas that never existed a river before.
all of them were created by the user waze-maint-bot(6)

are those water bodies verified in some geological map or something like that?

Thanks

It also doesn't make Waze seem very professional when I have to tell people who reported the problem that it is a known problem, but that we can't do anything about it until the Waze team fixes it.

Still getting daily URs about the roads being in the water in and around Quebec City.

Still hoping something will be done sooner than later!

URs have been flooding in as we're not supposed to "hack" the water bodies on land, but leaving us guessing and hoping for a fix is not good too. Please do at least keep us updated on the progress so that we can explain these to our community and that they will understand better.

I totally agree, right now I keep telling people in Quebec City that the issue will be resolved "eventually", but my "eventually" is starting to turn into a joke after a few months with no update as to when it could ever be fixed. Problem is, most coastal cities have their most populous parts near the water, and thus reports keep getting in massively.

I'm now getting tourists asking in URs if Waze works in Canada because Quebec City doesn't look right right in the middle of the water tile.

It won't be long before we get tabloid headlines along the lines of
"Waze: Sinking Quebec's tourism industry?"

Amazingly, it seems like the problem is partly corrected in Quebec City!

While some parts to the East are still underwater, Downtown is now okay as long as you don't zoom out too much! That's a start!

I am getting water rendered in my client where there shouldn't be around the streets I am travelling on. Checked the editor map which looks fine. https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lo ... st=5028078

New just in this morning...

By the way, I was driving in that area also a few days ago and had a big problem finding "water" everywhere. Quite unnerving.
