I've noticed that there seems to be an unspoken state-wide conspiracy to go over the speed limit by exactly 7mph.

Exactly 7. It's uncanny. 90% of the traffic on the road is going exactly 7mph faster than the speed limit (assuming there's not too much traffic to do so.) Maybe about 7% of the rest going even faster, and 3% going less than 7mph faster. Only about 1% go the actual limit and less than that go slower.

It was so exactly similar to each other and so freakishly common that I thought my speedometer was 7mph off. Until the speedometer on Waze restored my sanity.

I'm pretty sure people around here just assume a speed limit isn't a law, it's a suggestion.

Yup. I'd pretty much come to that conclusion myself. But exactly 7 instead of a variance of 6-9, that's what I find so mystifying, lol.

I've had a couple that were about 10-15 miles away. Most people don't like reporting from the car. You can open the report and start typing later but it blocks your view of the map until you finish sending the report.

Or on Android either. I get this screen until I submit the report or cancel the report. Cancelling loses the gps input.

All clutter aside, I actually find parking lots work a lot better with the lanes mapped like that. They're much easier to get into and out of. And putting a name on it prevents the bugs that happen in TTS with no-name roads. I've even mapped a couple lots like that myself (not the naming though) before I "knew better."

It is unfortunately not the standard, though. -.- And while parking lot roads look like streets, I'm not going to fight it. What I'd like is for them to have minimal display in the client (and possibly even hide ones that aren't on your route), then we COULD map parking lots like this and reap the benefits thereof.

The other day I had a 18 wheeler jacknife in the middle of a turn and was blocking the road so we had to drive around it.

I imagine something similar was intended there but he hit map report instead of hazard without realizing it.

It's like Church's chicken.

It's a chicken place. A notch up from KFC but not that big of a notch.

Popeye's has a pretty good flavor though, can't say that much for the others.

Didn't know that about the apostrophe, but I grew up in Louisiana so I know people don't call it by its full name lol. I didn't even know it had a full name.

It's funny, I lived in Baton Rouge for over 10 years and in all that time I never went to New Orleans.
