Now that you mention that it only happens in the let's take prompt and perhaps we'll continue straight from, I may have the solution. We had a similar issue with highway names and Cardinals in the US. I believe it has to do with how the abbreviations are coded and the characters used to build the strength for those prompts. If you contact me directly and I can work with you on it or I can take it to the beta teams for you

All the roads in Adams & Douglas county, WA that have letter point number names are incorrectly pronounced in TTS.
Is the format always a single letter followed by a period and a single number without spaces?

I am not getting this error in testing. Are you experiencing it?

Yes it is. I've tried to work around it with other combinations and still work pronounce right.

The only way I know to test this is in WME, and I don't trust WME to tell me what the app is going to say. So I took the UR information at face value.
Someone will have to drive by it with the app. Alternatively you can generate a route which includes the turn and then pull the TTS file from your apps TTS cache.

I agree WME is not reliable.

I would like to propose adding the abbreviation CL-XXX to read as "County Lane XXX" similar to how CR-XXX reads as "County Road XXX".

For now, editors are instructed to keep the current format as "Co Ln XXX".

Cheers,
I will bring this to the team and see what they say.

PZ,

Was there any word on "County Lane XXX" compatibility with a "CL-XXX" abbreviation?
The team approved, but I'm not sure if it's been implemented.

Col without a period does work in WME. It will be added to the list to test to make sure it behaves with other conditions.
Col. has NOT been specifically added for support by Waze, but as mentioned here ay work natively regardless.

Update we just got Dtwn = Downtown, and Ct = Court published for the USA. I'm updating the wiki. The status update for pronunciation fixes is still glib (they are taking a long time via a manual string of processes). We still hope for a semi-automated solution to speed things up.

In the meantime we can fast track urgently needed fixes via in house hackery, but please reserve this for truly urgent requests. I.e. pronunciations that are very wrong, and confusing/unsettling to drivers, and affect a large number of drivers.
