Correct, that is how I did it. It is the link between your Waze and Facebook accounts that need to be set.
Is there something wrong with Waze? Connected my FB account on Waze Android , and can't see any info on scoreboard on friends tab of both Waze Windows Phone and Android.
Same problem here...after 2 months I suddenly cannot access fb friends on iphone

waze ver: 3.7.7.0

iphone ver: 7.0.6

The issue is with Windows Phone 8.1 (update 2) and Waze on a Luma 640 LTE.
App installs but doesn't display the accept button for the legal T&C stuff (even when ticking the age and updates buttons).
Wish I could lay my hands on the cretins at my work that chose Windows Mobile as our corporate standard. 80% of my favourite apps are missing BUT... I could live with the phone if Waze worked in some even basic way.
At the moment it's just taking up space but can't even get into the app to see how far it is from the versions I'm used to thanks to this Bug :(
Rant over. Thx for reading. Kev

With Microsoft's policy of removing apps from it's store with no age rating, I can see the Waze app being removed very soon.

I use Waze on a Nokia Lumia 820 and the battery drain is a problem, indeed.

As a workaround, I set my phone to use 2G connection only. 3G and 4G/LTE internet connection draws much more power, not only with Waze. In my experience a 2G connection is enough to update all infos in the app, as it generates quite low data traffic. With this setup, the fully charged 1650 mAh battery of the Lumia 820 is enough for about 1.5 hours of navigation. If I use my 890 mA car charger, the battery drain is very small, a few percentage points per hour. So with this workaround and a car charger, Waze is ok for even longer trips. But I still hope the app can be fine-tuned to draw less power.

A quick note on the WP8 app version number. In the Settings menu, on the Help tab, under About, it shows release 3.7.3.208. This is the latest app I can download from the App store, even though there in the App details section I can see version 1.0.0.0 listed. I hope this can be updated with the correct version number.

So actually the thread title is somewhat misleading. We are discussing about v3.7.3.208. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks to the developers for releasing v3.7.4.5! Compared to the first WP8 version (v3.7.3.208), there has been an improvement on the battery drain issue. With the old waze version, using my Nokia Lumia 820 with a 890 mA car charger, the battery drain was a few percentage points per hour. The same setup with the new waze version results in a battery load of around 5 percentage points per hour. And the phone is noticeably less hot than before. Longer trips without a car charger are still impossible, but the fine-tuning is definitely in the right direction.

What I still miss a lot is the ability to update gas prices.

I've been playing around with v3.7.4.5 more. I found that using the screen in night mode reduces power consumption drastically, by nearly 50%.

On my Nokia Lumia 820, my usual morning drive to the office (around 35 mins) now only draws about 10% of the battery's power (with a 2G connection and screen in night mode). The same drive with the daylight screen mode draws approx. 20% of power. With the old sw v3.7.3.208 this drew approx. 35% of battery power in daylight mode. Quite a big improvement!

The visibility of the screen in night mode is still ok, it just has a dark background instead of a white one. With these settings I can finally use Waze for longer trips, without a charger.

I think Waze should remove the WP version from the Store. Completely. I am an active WP user but I do not use Waze there any longer...

1. Nobody fixes voice instructions issues in some loc countries that have been reported multiple times
2. e-mails stopped working some time ago
3. Nobody fixes WP-specific bugs
4. WP client is so behind the other WP navigations that it damages the whole Waze reputation - check the user reviews and you will see
5. WP client is so behind Android/iOS that it starts to be a different app
6. WP localization is specific (not enough space comparing to Android/iOS) but there are no WP-specific resources for localization. We have abandoned any effort to make strings fit to WP as the priority is Android/iOS. Hence translations on WP are bad.

I'm using Waze on a lumina 920 using a newly created Waze account, I was using Waze on an android phone previously under the default account. How / can I transfer my favorites from the android version to the W8 version / phone ?
