I got the screen on my way out of work my buddy didn't. Drove around X-mas shopping and didn't see any Hats, candycanes, or snowflakes.

The snowflakes is the real problem we sure could use some up here in Wisconsin. Looks like it is going to be a brown X-mas.

For some reason, I got the pop-up and it never went away, completely covering the map and rendering all other functionality null. How do you get the pop up to close?

using iphone 4s if that means anything.

Even turned off the location functionality so the nav wouldnt just keep running, closed app, but when I re-open, popup is still on. Do I need to delete app and re-install?

Didn't see any of them on my hour drive this afternoon ... didn't even get a notification screen that they're coming (stinks to still be stuck on version 2 with Android, I guess :P). I did pick up 11 candies, though (been a busy boy on the Papyrus this week! :D), so the trip wasn't a total loss. Oh yeah, and we got groceries and Christmas presents too.

I did finally get the splash screen this afternoon ... but no goodies to be found. As to why they're not there, maybe the Grinch did get them all ... if so, then they should be back on Christmas morning, so never fear! :D

It is a bit odd, though ... I mean, the Hallowe'en ghosts and pumpkins came out on the first of October ... why did they not announce the Christmas goodies until December 20th (and then not even put them out, just announce them)? :?

Yep, the Grinch has returned them, but in a devalued way ... snowflakes are 2 points, candy canes are 5 points, and Santa hats are 7 points. Hardly makes it worth going a couple of blocks out of your way to get them, but for the few that are right on the way, it's not bad, I guess. :)

The low point value is kind of disappointing. I'm starting to run out of regular road cookies as it is that are close enough to "on my way" that I'm willing to waste the extra gas/time on. Better off going straight home to edit.
Seems to me that I saw a few spawn this morning on my drive home from work ... there was nothing at that spot last night, saw nothing there as I was driving, then POOF, there's a candy cane in front of me, and 2 seconds later, I'm 5 points closer to knocking "rescue557" off his pedestal as the #1 Wazer in NY. Might have just been some kind of lag or lull or something that caused this, but it happened three times this morning (including one Santa hat that I saw pop up on a path a mile behind me, that I had just come off of :x).

Interesting ... most folks leave their Christmas decorations up at least until New Year's (some even until June or July, but let's not go there :D). It's nice to see that after such a long delay in getting these decorations out, Waze didn't waste any time in taking them back down as soon as Christmas Day was over. :P :?
[Note for the humor-impaired: yes, that was intended as sarcasm. :D]

I've gotten a few, but don't see myself going out of the way over 5 points.
