One of the issues that we have in Georgia is adding cameras.. There are too many misplaced cameras in Tbilisi.. and those are still being added. Problem is that many editors don't realize that all cameras that are seen on streets must not be placed on map. Only ones that need to be placed are:
1. Speed Cameras (which are permanently mounted cameras and monitor for instantaneous violations of maximum speeds), not to be confused with traffic signs that show speed (usually some editors place cameras near these signs or some different purpose cameras). 2. Red Light Cameras (which monitor an intersection and trigger when traffic proceeds through the intersection on a red signal). In Tbilisi as of Jan-2015 there are no such cameras and they are often confused with other camera types (traffic cameras for instance, that allow for automated optimization of traffic signal timing, real time monitoring by police and highway departments, and public feeds to news outlets and the Internet. Well, true, but I think it would be better if adding cameras (at least those that are very rare) shouldn't be available to all users, especially when they have not enough info regarding adding stuff on maps. For instance, most users in Tbilisi tend to add cameras more often then any other report/issue (traffic jam for instance). In Tbilisi almost on all crossings we have cameras, but they are neither speed, nor red light ones and they should not be added. But since app has "add camera" feature, users don't bother reading further instructions, and just add all the cameras to earn points..

Yes, true Mynios.. it's hard to find people who would like to improve maps, and even harder to find those who like to read instructions how to make improvements without actually damaging and making more-job-to-be-done on the map.

As for the region. I could suggest waze a very good basemaps, that are open and free to obtain. But I don't know whom to contact regarding that. Adding a basemap to Georgia (country) would make life so much easier for us - a very few editors for my region. Not to mention that it would help to grow popularity of waze app, since many of my friends have quit using waze, because the're not happy with not enough road-coverage of our area. Can anyone here suggest how I could help waze by providing map data for creating base maps at least for some big cities?

ერთ-ერთი უმთავრესი საკითხი, თუ რა ენაზე უნდა დავარქვათ სახელები ქუჩებს. ბევრი ფიქრის (და რჩევების მიღების მიზნით დასმულ კითხვებზე არც თუ შედეგიანი პასუხების მიღების) შემდეგ გადავწყვიტე, რომ საქართველოს ყველა ქალაქის და ქუჩის ძირითადი სახელწოდება იყოს ჩვენს მშობლიურ ენაზე. ხოლო ალტერნატიულ სახელებად მივუთითებთ სხვა ენებზე მათ შესატყვისებს (ძირითადად ინგლისურად).

ძირითადი ენის არჩევისას თითოეულის პლიუსები და მინუსები შემდეგია:
*განურჩევლად ენისა და პრიორიტეტულობისა (ძირითადი იქნება ესა თუ ის ენა, თუ მეორადი) ძებნით ყველა ვარიანტში იძებნება.
*ქართულის პლიუსები: რუკაზე მშობლიურ ენაზეა, ქართულენოვანი სახელები თვალისთვის უფრო ადვილად აღქმადია და სხვა თუ არაფერი ყველა შესაძლო ვარიანტში ქართული დამწერლობა უნდა გამოვიყენოთ.
*უარყოფითი მხარეა ის, რომ ნავიგაციის ხმოვანი სისტემა არ აღიქვამს ქართულ ენას, თუმცა ინგლისურადაც რომ იყოს ქართული გვარების გამოთქმა მაინც არასწორედ ხდებოდა და ეს არის ის ერთადერთი პლიუსი რაც ინგლისურ ენის პრიორიტეტად არჩევას შეიძლება ჰქონდეს ქართულთან შედარებით.

ასე რომ, ამ ეტაპზე დაწყებული მაქვს ყველა ქუჩის და ქალაქის შეძლებისდაგვარად გადმოქართულება. თქვენც გთხოვთ გაითვალისწინოთ ზემოხსენებული და პრიორიტეტულ, ძირითად ენად ქართული გამოიყენოთ ქალაქებისა და ქუჩების სახელწოდებების მითითებისას და ალტერნატიულ ენად ინგლისური აირჩიოთ.

გამარჯობა. ქუჩები ჯობია იყოს ჯერ ინგლისურად და ალტერნატიულში ჩავწეროთ ქართულად. რატომ ჯობია!? პლანშეტების, სმარტფონების 90% რომლითაც ხდება მანქანით ან ფეხმავალი ტურისტების და მოსახლეობის გადაადგილება, არ აღიქვამს PC ვერსია საიტზე შექმნილ და დაწერილ ქართულ შრიფტს ასევე ნავიგაციის ხმა ვერ კითხულობს ქუჩებს.
