Sir berestovskyy, might want to keep an eye on this thread:

If attaching railroads to roads becomes accepted, then that check should probably be disabled.

Doesn't sound like it's settled yet though.

Validator is flagging Brg as invalid street name, but it's listed in TTS table as valid for bridge

Hello all,

I apologize if this was already answered, but I haven't found answer on forum or wiki.
I started to search for more information due to WME Validator pointed an error "More than one segment connected to roundabout node A"
wiki wrote:Roundabouts have few principals:
The first one, each node on the roundabout can only be connected to no more than one segment.
Each connection has a spectrum that exists in order to notify the Client on how to define the message (Go straight, exit through the 2nd / 3rd / 4th exit).
so few details about the roundabout in play. photo first (click on preview to get large image, there is streetview on the right side):
http://oi39.tinypic.com/dlnhhd.jpg
detail on the angle the roads are connected on streetview

if you are entering the roundabout from south (selected segment), it is not possible to exit immediately to the right. for those direction there is separate lane.
in current solution, the turn from segment entering roundabout to the outbound segment is disabled, what causes, that for this particular entrance the exit is not counted but for all other inboud segments the exit is counted. in my opinion this is correct setup, but the wiki states otherwise.

what would you think? is this an error? should it be treated different way?

thanks for your help.

Yes, it gives correct turn instructions (take Xth exit for all combinations)
I just wondered that there is strict statement in wiki without further explation and without any exceptions.

Off course, if I am right. Just thinking of. Because I can only image any ambiguity, if two outgoing paths were possible from a roundabout's junction node.
I really like this way of definition and it would be great if WME Validator will treat it that way, if this proves as correct statement.

If you think that this affects Slovakia only, please adjust the rule for Slovakia, if possible:

each node on the roundabout shall only be connected to no more than one outgoing segment.

thank you

thank you for other examples, I will check each of them if the setup is correct and turn istructions are OK.
returning to the one I mentioned, here is snapshot from recording I made with my phone today morning: http://oi41.tinypic.com/20l111e.jpg
(video was too laggy today to share (probably due to bad light conditions in early morning), but you can see, that the right exit is not being taken in account if entering roundabout from this directon.
also this traffic sign on streetview
shows, that the first exit after you enter roundabout will be to the north...

so I think the best will be:
an error should be reported if more than one outgoing segments are connected to same roundabout's node
and a warning should be reported if there are two segments connected to same node.

berestovskyy, would it be possible to include SK (Slovakia) and CZ (Czech Republic) into those country specific checks?

12. BETA Lowercase street name (SK only, not for CZ)
50. BETA: Lowercase street name (with exceptions) (CZ only, exceptions: náměstí; nám.; nábřeží)
13. BETA: Two-way Freeway segment
53. City name on Railroad
63. Less than 3 letters long street name
64. More than 25 letters street name (ramps excl.)
68. No lock on Freeway
69. No lock on Major Highway
70. No lock on Minor Highway

thank you very much for great help and maybe just small suggestion - separate checks in the complete list into groups, e.g.:
- checks not adjacted to other scripts:
A. checks vallid for all countries
B. country specific checks
- checks using other scripts
C. checks vallid for all countries
D. country specific checks

this will allow better overview of all checks with separate numbering for each group so no need to renumber the list and if someone will reffer to check A13 it will be clear regardless of current version.

than you.
