I'm not sure about the Android version, but in iOS 4.0, you can simply swipe right on the line which displays your favorite, then tap the red trash can icon to delete.

Oddly if the favorite doesn't have a share icon, it can't be deleted directly from the favorites list. Even more oddly, if you tap a favorite, waze routes to it, so then it shows on the initial navigation list with a share icon. On the navigation list you can swipe right and delete the location. Surprisingly enough, this deletes the location from both the navigation list and the favorite list.

Tap the waze icon in the lower left to open the search page, tap your name/picture/mood to open the my waze screen, tap Home and Work, tap the existing address, search for the new address, then tap done in the upper right.

Thank you!! I've been trying to follow the 'help' instructions on the Waze site for about a week now, and was about to go insane. This is a totally non-intuitive way to delete. THANK YOU for posting this!!

I'm on a DROID Turbo, running Android Lollipop, and I too can not delete a favorite. Doing the swipe also to me launches navigation to that site.

wrbird wrote:This is what you need to do to delete a favorite on Android, seriously stupid but it's how it's done. Favorites cannot be deleted in the favorites list, only in the history list.
1. Open Waze android app
2. select main menu icon in bottom left corner
3. This window consists of the settings button in the top left corner and the power button in the top right corner. It should also have your account name, then the search bar, then a list of places. If you have your Home and Work set these will be listed first, then your Favorites button that will take you to your list of favorites. Under that is a history list of places you've selected.
4. The places in the history will have a share icon to the right side of each place. This is how you delete places, including places in your favorites list. Only places with the share icon can be swiped to the right and the delete button (trash can on a red button) will be shown.
5. If your Favorite place that you want to delete is in the history list (it will be shown with a grey star on the left side and the share icon on the right side), swipe to the right and select the trash can. Waze will ask you if you're sure, select Remove. Your favorite as now been deleted.
6. To confirm deletion select Favorites and that place should not be in your favorites list.

If your favorite place you want to delete is not in the history list:
1. Select Favorites, select the place that you want to delete, stop navigation.
2. Select main menu icon, now that place should be in your history list with the share icon to the right side right below your Favorites button.
3. Swipe to the right and select the trash icon. Wallah, it's deleted. Is that the stupidest procedure you've ever had to follow to delete something?
It "simple and easy"

Unbelievable that no one at Waze bothers to fix this. you have a grayed out star next to each Favorite, as well as 3 menu like bars to the right. You'd think they'd do something other than take up screen space.

Thanks wrbird! I spent an ungodly amount of time trying to get rid of old favorites, your instructions worked perfectly (talk about NOT intuitively obvious!)

The three-bar icon in the favorites list needs some work, for sure.

This is seriously messed up. I can't believe something that should be so simple is so complicated. Do you know how to edit the Work favorite?
