A nice function should be to start the app automatically when moving >30 km/h
So you never forget to use it on short tracks and be sure you are warned for speed traps etc.

There are apps that can do something similar to what you are asking.

On Android I use Droid automation to start Waze as soon as my car's bluetooth gets connected.
I know On{X} can trigger based on 'driving'.

A number of apps on my phone start automatically when they detect the car's Bluetooth.

The one app that I would really want to do this is Waze.

However, I cannot find anything in settings. What am I missing here please?

Other apps that start automatically when connecting to the car's Bluetooth include the obvious ones like Car Dashdroid, but also media players like Podcast and Radio Addict, TuneIn Radio, etc.

Are you referring to the settings in waze?

If not, what's the app you are using to start apps when there is Bluetooth connection?

Yes.

Nothing - the apps do this themselves. They all have an option called something like "automatically launch this app when the specified Bluetooth connection is detected".

By the way, although it should be obvious, they all have an option to shut themselves down when the Bluetooth connection goes off as well.

Get "macrodroid" from the playstore. It's pretty easy to set up a rule to launch Waze when connected on a specific bluetooth.

Trigger = BT connect (your Bluetooth name)
Action = Launch application, Waze

Easy !

I use Drivemode(not the ATT one) app for my text auto reply and it auto starts as soon as it detects I'm moving faster than 15 mph. It's integrated with Waze for navigation but it doesn't start Waze unless you start navigation in the Drivemode app. Would be nice if it did

Has this really not been added to Waze by now? It seems like such an obvious little thing that would make SO many people happy. I hope that it gets added soon.

I am also using the Macrodroid automation work-around :/
