Once it is finished, definitely read up on the MapRaid wiki. Anything you don't understand, this is an excellent learning opportunity to ask for advice and assistance and you will get a chance to work with editors all around the world. It's always a lot of fun, IMO.

This page goes into a bit of general information about MapRaids in general.

Hello all -

Form sent...also looking forward to participating in 1st MMR....

BTW- one of our AC / SC mentioned in #slack about having to change "between world and US" (edit areas I guess) - if that won't be described in the Wiki - a link describing this would be helpful to MMR n00bs such as myself...

Perhaps related: As this MMR will mostly for SL checks - and I recently installed the "Speed helper" script which makes SL changes more efficient - anyone know if that will that change automatically when I change global areas? (ex US = mph / SA= kmh)

Thanks in advance and looking forward to "visiting" South Africa for the first time :D

Cheers,

Dan

In the upper right hand corner of the editor, where it says US & Canada, you can click it for a dropdown menu. To edit in Africa, change to the World server, commonly known as the ROW (Rest of the World) server. The US & Canada server is commonly known as the NA Server. This link goes a bit more in depth into the three servers (the other being the Israel Server).

For this script, no, if you switch servers, it does not automatically shift units. You can do this manually, and please remember to do this when you switch servers, as there have been times where editors have simply forgotten and started entering KPH units into MPH areas and vice versa. Do so by going to the "Settings" tab, the little Gear on the left sidebar where your editor information is, and change between Imperial MPH, and Metric KPH.

Looking forward to having everyone here!

The wiki is just about done. Head over to the South Africa MapRaid Wiki to check it out.

Be sure to check out the recommended addons - they will make your raiding much quicker!

If anyone has any specific questions about the raid feel free to post here or message me directly.

Hello elphix, last MapRaid we had in Brazil, we used a spreadsheet where MapRaider put the name and edited only in that city and region. We may have a spreadsheet like this in MR South Africa?
