WME Chat changes countries

I'm in Spain on business and have been trying to chat with the locals. When I leave chat open for a while, it switches back to the US chat room. I thought it was the Chat Add-on, but I have removed it completely and still have the problem.

I'm on ROW in Chrome where I'm having the problem. When on the NA server in FF at the same time, I don't get the option to change to other country rooms.

Any ideas?

I doubt it, seeing as two different browsers would have no way of talking to each other in the first place, so incognito/private browsing wouldn't help; everything is happening on the server side

In my experience, having windows in different countries open at the same time causes Chat to go crazy, bumping you back from one to the other. I don't know of a workaround.

I believe it's tied to your profile so it would happen even if you're running WME on different browsers. I'll test when I get a chance.

As I suspected, changing chat rooms in one browser will switch it over in another browser (or even another computer) so, for example, if you reload one WME page Chat will switch all of your WME windows to that country's channel. Chat often reloads/reconnects itself so that's why it happens on its own.

Chat Add-On has a "Force room" option at the bottom of the settings page. Have you tried that?

Not the problem in this case. Well, it shouldn't be. I have NA open in FF and ROW in Chrome. Unless it's somehow tied to my IP instead of the browser...

Thanks for testing it out. That's disappointing. I have been working URs in one browser stateside while editing in the other browser overseas. I wonder if in-private would protect it...
