GPS sucks up battery on iPhones

The settings available for GPS usage by Waze is always on or always off. This means that I, and others need to go to settings and turn on/off the GPS selection every single time we use it, or the GPS stays running and you're out of battery in no time.

Please add an option (other apps have this) for GPS enabled when the app is open.

I'm having this issue too, Waze is constantly using location services even after I put the app to sleep or close it. I am forced to turn GPS access off for Waze until this is fixed

i found the solution while browsing old forums

Hi,

I had the same issue and I solved it by doing the following steps:

1. Access Waze
2. Go to the configuration icon, then General.
3. Swith off the "Location change reporting" option.

That's it.

Bruno suggestion is helpful. But i would appreciate if the option to choose "Allow Location Access - While Using the App" is available. Just like google map has. Battery is really impacted because of this. It would be a welcome feature for every one.
