Hmm. That can't be good. How did you find it?

I just figured something had to be amiss with that junction so I pulled it apart (without saving it) and there it was.

That right turn w/ u-turn is actually the 3rd best route through that intersection. If you stay straight through to Pasadena Rd, there is a valid u-turn that could be made at Oak Ave. There has to be something that is keeping Waze from routing straight. The turns are also enabled with that segment too, but I have to imagine that little segment doesn't help matters.

It would be valuable if Waze could find these and identify them as a Map Problem in WME. Much more value to identify this type of problem than a missing road in a Parking Lot or Gas Station...

Agreed...these little extra road segments are nearly impossible to find otherwise. They seem to wreak havoc wherever they appear. Maybe we should name them gremlins?

Thanks all. I've modified the intersection. I hope that solves the problem.

I'm now finding little things like this a bunch of places where weird routing has been reported. That being said, I'm still not sure how you found this one. When I pull apart a junction without saving, the roads don't change - the orange lines just show the proposed changes until I save. I haven't figured out how to find things like this without tearing apart and saving.

What I usually do to find these little segments is I grab the junction and move it or I'll remove segments one at a time and look for odd routing arrows. If you drag the junction in different directions and then let go, you'll see the little stub sitting there in orange. I've found enough of these little segments to look for them any time I have an otherwise nonsensical route.

Sounds good. I just haven't seen them in orange yet.

I have a hard time believing that the route is actually faster.
