Requests for map modifications (UR-topic) [ARCHIEF]

Post by
This topic is for all requests to modify the map.

What belongs here?

Requests for unlocking a road.
If you get a message that you don't have permission to edit a certain road, because it's locked by a higher level editor, insert your request to unlock it.

Requests to change the map.
If you encounter an incorrect situation on the map, you can post it in this topic.

example:
- Creating a roundabout
- Change directivity
- Setting turn restrictions

What does not belong here?

Questions about the map.
When you are editing and have a question about a certain situation, or how to deal with it, please open a separate topic.

Discussion
This topic is only meant for modification requests. For discussions about a certain situation, please open a separate topic.

What should be included in my post?

1. The location
Street & city name.

2. The desired adjustment.
Description of your request.

3. Permalink
A permalink of the location, so we do not have to find out where it is all about.

To create a Permalink:
In WME (Waze Map Editor), there is a small text button on the right side, just below the bottom of the map, labeled 'Permalink'.

By clicking this button, a link to the current location shows up in the address bar of your browser.
Now copy the link from the address bar, and paste it at the bottom of your post in this topic.
After your post is submitted, other users only have to click your link, to open the corresponding area. Now they can handle your request easily.

You can post your request in English, Dutch, German or French.

Since I'm still a bit new to map-editing, could somebody explain this to me,
or fix this, I see this on the map in Belgium, West-Flanders,
but I haven't driven at that spot, so maybe somebody with higher permissions can solve it:
see https://world.waze.com/editor/?lon=2.77 ... TTTTTTTTFT
rken:#Rechtsbijwerken:#12, Belgium, does this mean anything? or just an error?
(I see the AreaManager is tenyharko..)

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,
Aaron

I'm aware of that. It doesn't mean anything. Someone entered it as a cityname :-o

We're almost done with adding al Belgium citynames to the database. If it's done we will cleanup the database, so this 'cityname' will be deleted then ;)

Thanks for reporting...
Ok, thanks, good luck with that!
Keep up the good work ;)

I drove to Chaleroi from Gent yesterday. In Groot-Bijgaarden, Waze sent me in ClockWise direction first, and took the first exit to sent me CounterClockWise, like I should go. (I, ofcourse, rejected!)
I put an updat request on it, maybe someone can look into it? This looks like a major issue to me.

Waze was showing the route coming from the south on the tieltstraat, turning into brouwerijstraat.
However waze did not recognize that as a turn and simple assumed that was a twist in the road (and because of that never said turn right, so i passed the turn) how can i make sure that it says turn right there? (I assume if i needed routing that would continue on the tieltstraat it would have said turn left at brouwerijstraat)
I hope i made the problem clear enough
I've seen it yesterday (I'm AM for that region since yesterday).
I named the roads, wich may convince Waze it is a turn. Maybe the TR weren't OK when the last update went live, but now they're alright.

If the problem persists after the next update (check status.waze.com for the timing) let me know.

Can you remove this section of road? Someone has removed the split road, but probably couldn't remove this locked section.

Can you, Country managers, remove the "Hammamet" city name on this location?
I think I removed all (one) of the streets with the cityname a couple of months ago, but it isn't going anywere...
Also If I search for Roeselare, there are 3 options shown, two of them point to Roeselare, but another to some location in Brabant...

I don't think it's a real problem, it's somethink that bugs me while editing =D.

I thought Waze would automaticly remove the name after a while when there are no streets left with the name. Like with city borders. Apperantly, it doesn't. So I thought you guys could do it in some database...
