"Fix is to run ##@resetapp and start from scratch. Use "Already a Wazer?" and make sure you know your username and password."
Note GPS are not allways used by the apps, they use by wifi and mobile data to get near your location. chech the device config for waze if is allowed to use GPS

Hi there DaneChua,
Sorry to hear you have been having trouble. Based on what you wrote it appears to be a problem with the iOS software, and related to waze app specifically. Since this affects any apps sing GPS sensors on your device, you might get better support directly from Apple, or Apple support sites/forums.

You posted your request in the wrong section of our forum (the section where we discuss updates to the WAze Wiki), I moved the post to a more relevant section (where we discuss the Waze app). Maybe some iOS users here can chime in as well.

Best of luck, and happy Wazing

I'm a new Waze user, and have really gotten into using it in the past week. I'm thoroughly enjoying it and am glad I found this forum and this thread, because this is a problem I'm having and was wondering why Waze was telling me I have no GPS reception when it's giving me perfect driving directions and up to the second status on my location. I'm relieved to see it's a Waze problem, because I was stumped otherwise.

Hope it gets fixed soon, because I'd like to be able to do my part and report things I see.

I'm having the same issue on my Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F): pressing the orange report button most of the times I get "Sorry, no GPS signal in this location. Please make sure you are outside.", anyway the car position is correctly updated. Seems to work when pressing the " report button" and selecting one of the other three smaller icons; also seems to work at home when connected to wifi.

Thanks but it doesn't work on my Samsung S5.
Resetting and updating AGPS as suggested by Waze did not fix the issue

Same issue here! Waze was working so well, now it loses the signal constantly! It's caused me a LOT of lost time as it always seems to be a step behind - when it finally catches up, I've missed the next turn I was supposed to take. It's actually become too dangerous to use (always looking at it, waiting for it to update, trying to press the crosshairs to show me where I'm at, etc.). Bummer, I really want it to work... Going back to google map navigation as it does NOT lose the GPS signal (so I know it's not just my phone).

Very frustrating.

I started getting a "No GPS" message a few days back on my iPhone 6 with iOS 9.3.1. So I am unable to use Waze navigation anymore.

I have tried rebooting my iPhone, resetting my iPhone (pressing home+power button) and re-installing the latest Waze app (after deleting it) in that order. None of the above has been able to get rid of the issue.

Other navigation apps like Apple Maps and Google Maps as well as the Compass app seem to work fine on this same iPhone meanwhile without any errors.

Really bummed as I am a long-time Wazer and love this app. Any one have any tips on what may be wrong?

I have been experiencing a No GPS for one week now. I have followed procedure, Privacy settings, even re-installed after hard reset.
I am in contact with Apple and have reset Privacy and Location services and reset Settings, all to no avail.
Why am I having this issue?

Yes. Your phone actually has a compass and it does need recalibration from time to time.

You can also refresh your GPS.

Following this guide should get your GPS back on track:

True, GPS can give false location for different reasons, not just compass, that A-GPS refresh thing has helped me several times. For example location was always 50m off, did reset to those and got 3m accuracy after it.
