Here is another example: https://www.waze.com/en-US/editor/?env=usa&lon=-73.72919&lat=40.96567&zoom=5&mapUpdateRequest=7564885

As the Reporter says, this makes no sense. Not only does it violate BDP, but it is not even the fastest route under any conceivable circumstances (note the report time: 4:45 AM, so it is not likely there was a lot of traffic on I-95)!

Hello All,

We have been experiencing and tabulating these sort of errors throughout Texas, and even in some other states. I am going to share this forum with all the people I have been working with in order to get to the root cause.

Thanks,

Ted

I have noticed several more of these BDP failures in Texas. I have pushed this up to my RC. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

All,

According to Waze staff this issue has been resolved. Please mark this thread as solved. Apparently this issue was created by a problem with routing algorithms and PLRs.

Thanks,

Ted

Supposedly it is the same issue; however, I have a few ounces of doubt.

Hello All,

I looks like this problem has not been resolved. I have been in communication with my RC, who in turn has in turn been communicating with a developer. They don't know why this is happening, but are digging into the problem.

I continue to see more of these routing errors.

I agree that many of these errors have occurred near city transition points; however, like Sean I have seen these same type of problems all over the place. I will put a bug in my RC's ear again.

I checked again with my RC. The fix for this is still in the pipeland.

I shared a spreadsheet with the developer, so hopefully we are that much closer to a solution.
