[SUPPORT]Waze/Boston Marathon

Post by AndyPoms
I just saw in the Waze Blog a post about Waze supporting the road closures around the Boston Marathon (http://www.waze.com/blog/waze-wishes-bo ... -closures/). How was this accomplished? What the map edited and updated before and after the marathon? Is there a way to support preprogramed road closures? Will this feature be available for other major road events (i.e. other marathons, parades, etc)?

The Olympics have been under discussion in the UK forum for quite some time.

I am not in Boston, but I suspect that in the Blog that Waze is simply referring to Wazers posting manual reports - which do not directly impact routing.

Waze Marketing at it's best...

So Ori, are you saying that this process to make roads "non-navigable" was used for the Boston Marathon or are you just stating that the method to make a road "non-navigable" exists?
