New version! (sorry it's been a while)
- Tweaked some highlights so they work better on new road layer (subjective)
- Fixed initialisation of current city on Beta editor
- Editor list sorted alphabetically
- Extra option added to editor list: "all except me" (cheesy hack)
- Cities sorted properly according to locale
- Added colour highlights to Canal and Swamp.
- Removed highlighting of Railroads and Farms
- Fixed duff code wrt. housenumbers
Available from Greasyfork and Chrome Web Store (see
first post)

v2.1 - added highlight of tunnels to "Highlight a Road Type"

It's tricky, as I've run out of unique colours. Are there any that no one uses any more? Like unknown direction? (Obviously not, looking at screenshot above)
You could try combining other extensions, such as Validator to highlight roads types with a custom rule, or Street Vector Layer which has special rendering for tunnels.
There will potentially be other special flags for segments besides Tunnel, so I need a design that will be able to include them when the time comes...

I don't like using dashed highlights, as it affects the ability to select the segments. I'll have another think about how to present this option.
Ideally, tunnels should be part of the native road layer as it's a physical property of the road. I suspect that the special flags will be extended to include other physical properties in the future. No idea if Waze have any plans to render them natively though. Tolls and restrictions are already shown by road layer (even though they're not physical).
It would help me if you could explain how you would use the Tunnel highlight. How often do you need to worry about tunnels anyway? All the tunnels in my country have been done...

Olestas wrote:Timbones, filter by Country, please?

What's the use case? (My country is an island, so I'm not familiar with it).
The Filter by City option already shows state or country name if near a border.

Can you provide more information? I can't replicate this problem on my setup.

Fredo-p wrote:Got a new one for you. Speed limits have been added. Think the request to get roads that don't have them highlighted will come in soon?
You'd like to highlight segments
without speed limits, rather than those with? I wonder if Validator would be more suitable for this...
Street Vector Layer is already able to show the speed limit in rainbow colours depending on the set speed. It also shows A->B speeds separately from B->A speeds.

Twister-UK wrote:With both the latest versions of WMECH and WMERC installed (with no other add-ons running), the Routes tab doesn't show up when two segments are selected. Problem exists both in FF and Chrome.
Do you have the latest version of WMERC - v1.18? Routes has it's own tab now.

I fixed an issue that was occurring on Firefox (v2.2). Let me know if that fixes it.
As for Chrome, I still can't see any problems. What errors do you see in the Developer console?

Yes, purple nodes have Restrictions, and this can be toggled on or off as required.
(Generally it's better to use restrictions on segments rather than nodes, and it's not necessary to have both)

Version 2.3: By poplar demand, I've added option to show segments without verified speed limits in orange. By default it will only show highlights on Primary Street or higher, but there's a secondary option to show the highlight on Streets as well. Roundabouts are never highlighted.
Not tested on Firefox, so let me know if you experience any problems. Chrome version to follow...
(Thanks for the patch, Glodenox, though I already has this in the works, slightly delayed by real life)
