Thanks.
Hopefully new aerials would help tidy it up.
Is the old roundabout to be removed?

Rotorua

Postby SMLol379 » Thu Jan 04, 2018 1:05 am

Does anyone live or travel through Rotorua, or is otherwise familiar with it? There are some disabled turns that don't look right or look like they're leftovers from construction (the GPS points seem to ignore them).

These just don't look right on the aerial photos or street view - I wonder if these were temporary road-work changes that should be undone? Anyone know?

In separate news, I've edited up the new SH5 intersection too, based on GPS and http://www.rotorualakescouncil.nz/our-services/Roadsandstreets/roadingprojects/Pages/default.aspx - based on the GPS points and a user paving a road, looks like the new roundabout is live.

Don't live there, but looking at the plans, yep, it's certainly due to go if it hasn't already. Thinking about it, I don't think anyone will be confused if I get rid of it now so I'll do that.

I'm tempted to re-enable those turns further north and see if we get a new issues reported; as I think they were all temporary diversions due to this huge road-work project. Agreed?
