Hey Everyone,
Great turnout so far. We have many countries, languages and ranks. I've received few questions about the raid and I'd like to answer them here:

Q: This is my first raid, I filled the form, now what?
A: I go over your responses to make sure, your waze username is correct, make sure you are in our "Waze Global Discord server" and assign special role which gives permission to private "mapraid_russia" channel.

• You will be pingged as soon as you get the channel permission.
• Channel is read only until we are ready to start the raid.

Q: When will we start the Raid?
A: We are scheduled to start on 02/18/18 (Sunday) and end on 03/05/18 (Monday)


Q: What are the goals of this MapRaid?
A: Currently these are our goals for the Russia MapRaid:

• Create new roads where there is no basemap [Primary Goal]
• Fix basemap roads (including moving the roads to the correct places and ensuring connectivity) [Secondary Goal]
• Solve long distance routing issues
• Update pending “Places”

Q: English is not my mother language. Should I sign up? Will there be translators?
A: We have 54 different languages so far. We help everyone with translation and support them. Often by grouping them together with bilingual editors or those from the same country.


Q: I'm a rank 1 (or 2) and this is my first MapRaid, will there be a mentor?
A: Yes, we have many mentors and senior editors who are willing to help during this mapraid and even pair up with you in the duration of this raid.


Q: I'm a mentor and have a mentee already, can we be in the same group?
A: Yes. Please choose "mentoring" option in the form to indicate your mentee's username or vice versa. If you already filled in the form, you can still go to the form and update "mentoring" question.

Always glad to see First Timers. Registration will be open until about a week to go to start the raid. We need that time to create groups and pair editors with their mentors/mentees
