Noticed tonight that the select when using a landmark did not select everything correctly within the landmark.

Jenn, would you be so kind to pass these issues along?

You can report it via the project page here. (I just reported the bug about the "open in" functions.)
I was reluctant to do this, for two reasons. Firstly, the upper link to the tools in the WIki takes you to the project page, with no script in the download. For some reason the link for the latest tools is different. (Lower on our Wiki page) So I was concerned that he may not be watching the project page that closely.
And secondly, Jenn is much better at French than I or Google translate, and I assume she is better at English than the script author! So she becomes my automatic link to translate these technical things. :)

Maybe we could ALSO get Jenn to figure out why he is using a different link now, so we can edit the Wiki accordingly.

I have been using the function right along in the past. When ET first came out I switched from Chrome to FF and never tried it in Chrome again until this last version.

I'll try to test it in Chrome again later and see what happens.

Thanks for the update. Good to hear he will work on a Chrome version.

Is anyone else having trouble getting Extended Tools 1.3.1 to work?

Yesterday I removed Extended Tools from both FF and Chrome and tried to install the latest 1.3.1 version.
It seems to install ok in both browsers, however it does not show up in the left panel of the WME editor (is that redundant?) in either browser.

I've closed and reopened the browsers, cleared the caches, and forced a F5 refresh, and made sure the extension was Enabled.

Any other ideas? Am I missing something obvious?

Just edited the lead post here and the Wiki for several things, including the name change, the separate Chrome link, links to this thread and a caution about using the tool.

maantje76 wrote:I have some problems with the extended tool. I had the same problem a few months ago, but didn't report it then.

If you use the tool in the area nearby the NL-BE border, it shows Dutch segments as Belgium in the segmentlist. But they aren't!

With the first version of the extended tool I did not have that problem. It was a great help for finding segments with a wrong country...Now this is impossible this way :(

Did someone else mentioned this before?
I don't recall seeing this.

Some questions:
- Can you give us a Permalink so that we can check it out?
- Do you see the same results with both Chrome and FireFox with Extended Tools?
- Do the segments in question have the correct county when you inspect them in WME without Extended Tools enabled?
- Did you try it again with the "lite" version of Extended Tools? We link to it the Wiki that in turn is linked in the lead post of this forum topic.
- Do you speak French? If so, you should post this on the French forum listed in the lead post of this forum topic. If not, let us know and we can get someone to translate it to them once we understand the problem better.

I've asked Slicer for a step-by-step primer on his work-around to get Extended Tools in Chrome to work with the Select in Landmark feature. However I don't think he understood me. He was quick to reply, but I still did not understand the process any better than from my own translation of the explanation in the French forum.

From what he understands, there is a bug in Chrome that prevents the author from fixing it.

His work-around somehow involves the use of the CTRL key while selecting segments.

I've got it to work sporadically, but can not get a handle on what the exact sequence of what I did to make it work!

And while it works fine in FireFox, the difficultly in selecting any horizontal segment can be rather frustrating.

Once I understand how to perform the work-around, I would like to mention it in the lead post here, and add a note in the Wiki.
